My Music (Sikter Album)
My Music is the third and most successful studio album by Bosnian alternative rock band Sikter. It was released on 21 August 2005 by Bosnian label Gramofon. Album was recorded from 2003 to 2005 at MML Studio in Sarajevo Sarajevo ( ; cyrl, Сарајево, ; ''see names in other languages'') is the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a population of 275,524 in its administrative limits. The Sarajevo metropolitan area including Sarajevo ... and mixed at MGKS Studio in Sarajevo 2005. Cover of album was made by bassist of the band Dragan Rokvić. Sikter had great success with this album and they won "Best Music Video" award on Davorin Music Awards 2006 for music video of title song "My Music". Sikter
Sikter is a Bosnian alternative rock band from Sarajevo. The band was formed in 1990 as a punk rock project of a few students, but became one of the most successful Bosnian rock bands. The name of the band is translated as ''Buzz Off''! From 1990 they changed line-ups many times, as well as musical styles. Their first songs were parodies of Yugoslavian pop songs. Sikter became the first band from Bosnia and Herzegovina whose video clip ''Pain In Brain'' was broadcast on MTV for several months. They recorded four albums: '' Now, Always, Never'' in 2000, '' Queen of the Disco'' in 2002, '' My Music'' in 2005 and '' Ego Trip'' in 2009. Soul Music
Soul music is a popular music genre that originated in the African American community throughout the United States in the late 1950s and early 1960s. It has its roots in African-American gospel music and rhythm and blues. Soul music became popular for dancing and listening, where U.S. record labels such as Motown, Atlantic and Stax were influential during the Civil Rights Movement. Funk
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century. It de-emphasizes melody and chord progressions and focuses on a strong rhythmic groove of a bassline played by an electric bassist and a drum part played by a percussionist, often at slower tempos than other popular music. Ego Trip is the fourth studio album by Bosnian alternative rock band Sikter. It was released on 2 June 2009 by one of the biggest music labels in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hayat Production. Recording of the album began in 2006 and lasted until 2009 at MML Studio in Sarajevo. Producers of album were front-man of the band Enes Zlatar and the drummer of Bosnian band Letu Štuke, Đani Pervan. After a few years of experimenting with many genres, this album was alternative rock oriented with elements of funk and soul. "Don't You Miss Me" is a single by Bosnian band Sikter from the album My Music, written and produced by Enes Zlatar and Dragan Rokvić. It was released as a single on May 27, 2005, by Gramofon as only single from the album. Except original version there are three remixes of the song, remixed and produced by Bosnian artists: Edward EQ, DJ Ahmaad, Basheskia and Branski. ''Indexi'' is the Bosnian music award. It given by the Indexi Award Direction and Indexi Award Programme Committee. The award was established in 2002 in Zenica by Josip Dujmović. The initial name of the award was ''Davorin'', honouring one of the most famous Bosnian pop/rock singers Davorin Popović from Indexi.
