Richard Waring (writer)
Richard Waring (born Brian Barton-Chapple, 26 June 1925 – 5 December 1994) was a British television scriptwriter. Waring was the author of numerous domestic sitcoms from the early 1960s, he worked for both the BBC and ITV. His first success was ''Marriage Lines'' (1961–66) with Richard Briers and Prunella Scales. In '' Not in Front of the Children'' (1967–70), Wendy Craig's dizzy housewife made her first appearance. Waring created '' ...And Mother Makes Three'' (1971–73), and its sequel '' ...And Mother Makes Five'' (1974–76), also featuring Craig in a similar role, but he did not write all of the episodes. Alan Vernon Curtis (30 July 1930 – 18 February 2021) was an English actor and cricket announcer. Life and career Curtis was born in Coulsdon, Surrey in July 1930. He had a long career in the film, television and theatre, which included appearances in four films of cult director Pete Walker. He also served as an announcer for the MCC at Lord's Cricket Ground for 28 years. Curtis lived in Chiswick, where he died in February 2021 aged 90. Sylvestra Le Touzel (born 1958) is a British television, film and stage actor. She was born and raised in Kensington, London, to a prominent family from Saint Helier, Jersey, Channel Islands. She attended school in East Acton. Television Beginning as a child actor, Le Touzel's first television role was in the ''Doctor Who'' story ''The Mind Robber'', playing one of the children who bedevil the Second Doctor and his companions in the Land of Fiction. Aubrey Harold Woods (9 April 1928 – 7 May 2013) was an English actor. Biography and career Woods was born on 9 April 1928 in Edmonton, Middlesex and grew up in nearby Palmers Green. He was educated at the Latymer School. His first film role was at the age of 17 as Smike in ''The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby'' (1947). On stage he played the role of Fagin in Lionel Bart's production of ''Oliver!'' at the New Theatre, St Martin's Lane in the 1960s alongside Nicolette Roeg and Robert Bridges. He played Alfred Jingle in the TV musical '' Pickwick'' for the BBC in 1969. Derek Robert Nimmo (19 September 193024 February 1999) was an English character actor, producer and author. He is best remembered for his comedic upper class "silly ass" and clerical roles including Revd Mervyn Noote in the BBC1 sitcom ''All Gas and Gaiters'' (1966–71). Career Nimmo was born in Liverpool, Lancashire, the son of an insurance salesman, and grew up in Mossley Hill in an environment he described as "old merchants' houses, comfy English suburbia". He was educated at Booker Avenue Infants and Junior School as well as Quarry Bank High School for Boys, then a grammar school under headmaster R. F.
