The Museo del Objeto del Objeto (Museum of the Object 'purpose''of the Object 'item'', or MODO, is a museum in Mexico City and the first museum in Mexico dedicated to design and communications. It was opened in 2010 based on a collection of commercial packaging, advertising, graphic arts, common devices and many other objects dating back to 1810 collected by Bruno Newman over more than 40 years. The museum is dedicated to the preservation of its collection of more than 30,000 items from two centuries and to the research in the history of design and communications. Organization The Museo del Objeto del Objeto is a private foundation begun by Bruno Newman, a collector and founder/director of Zimat Communications in Mexico City. The museum is part of a long tradition in Mexico City of collectors who donate their collections to found new or expand existing museums. Federico Moccia (born 20 July 1963) is an Italian writer, screenwriter and film director. His father Giuseppe Moccia was also a screenwriter and director. Art Nouveau (; ) is an international style of art, architecture, and applied art, especially the decorative arts. Gonzalo Tassier
Gonzalo Tassier is a Mexican graphic designer and publicity specialist from Mexico City, who has created a number of highly recognized logos and trademarks in Mexico. He was born in Mexico City in 1941. In his youth, he studied at the UNAM School of Architecture, then he studied philosophy for four years, before joining a religious community called the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit. However, as a designer, he is self-taught. His career has spanned over four decades to become of the most outstanding and pioneering graphic designers in Mexico. He has worked for offices such as those of Giancarlo Novi, Design Center and Bozell. Tassier’s best-known work includes the logo for PEMEX (created with Francisco Teuscher), the trademarks for Del Fuerte and Aguigol and the eagle which has been used for the Mexico national football team since 1998. Hugo Brehme, (3 December 1882, Eisenach, Germany; 13 June 1954, Mexico City) was a German-born photographer of Mexico. Working almost exclusively in black and white, he established a photographic studio in Mexico City “Fotografía Artística Hugo Brehme“ as early as 1912. It was a successful business for forty years. His subject matter photos of traditional rural Mexico, scenic landscapes, railways, modern monuments and archeological sites. His picturesque photos were placed in tourist guides and magazines and he produced a large number of photos for postcards. He was an early mentor of noted Mexican photographer Manuel Alvarez Bravo. Collections of his photos are found at Texas State University, San Marcos and Southern Methodist University, as well as the Fototeca Nacional, the Mexican government repository for photographs. Guillermo Kahlo
Guillermo Kahlo (born Carl Wilhelm Kahlo; 26 October 1871 – 14 April 1941) was a German Mexicans, German-Mexican photographer. He photographically documented important architectural works, churches, streets, landmarks, as well as industries and companies in Mexico at the beginning of the 20th century; because of this, his work has not only artistic value but also historical and documental importance.
