Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (, abbreviated as UMN) is a private university located in Gading Serpong, Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. The university was founded by Kompas Gramedia Group on 25 November 2005 and officially launched in a ceremony at the Hotel Santika, Jakarta on 20 November 2006. History Multimedia Nusantara University had been established on the initiative of Dr. (HC) Jakob Oetama, the founder of Kompas Gramedia. Mari Elka Pangestu (; born 23 October 1956), is an Indonesian economist who has been managing director of Development Policy and Partnerships in the World Bank since 2020. Jakob Oetama (27 September 1931 – 9 September 2020) was an Indonesian teacher, journalist, and businessman who was one of the co-founders and owners of Kompas Gramedia Group, the largest media group in Indonesia, together with P. K. Ojong.
