Mulaza Kaira
Mulaza Kaira (born 10 October 1984), also known by the stage names Macky II, Macky 2, MK Macky 2, DJ Bugar, and Flava Boy, is a Zambian Multi-Award winning hip hop musician, singer, Songwriter and producer. He is known for participating in the ninth season of ''Big Brother Africa'', where he placed third in the competition. Kaira is from Chingola, Zambia and runs the Macky 2 Hope Foundation, which supports orphans and vulnerable children. Music career Kaira began showing an interest in music in his childhood after attending the Catholic church in Ndola. In 2011 he left home to travel to Lusaka, where he released his album ''Ndimupondo'' under the Digital X label with Alpha Entertainment and J-Kayo. Two songs from the album, "I am The President" and "Number 1 Fan", received radio play and were positively received by audiences. Luanshya
Luanshya is a town in Zambia, in the Copperbelt Province near Ndola. It has a population of 117,579 (2008 census). Luanshya was founded in the early part of the 20th century after two prospector/explorer, William Collier shot and killed a Roan Antelope on the banks of the Luanshya River, discovering a copper deposit in the process. The antelope fell to the ground, its head resting on a rock where an exposed seam of copper ore was visible. The mining company eventually formed to exploit Collier's find was named " Roan Antelope Copper Mines Ltd". For most of the 20th century, copper was mined in great quantities at Luanshya but towards the end of the century, mining there became increasingly uneconomic, causing a severe recession in the town. There is still a fair amount of copper underground. Whether the town sees a revival in its fortunes will depend on how efficiently the copper is extracted and sold. Kondwani Kaira (born 23rd May 1986), better known by his stage name Chef 187, is a Zambian hip hop musician, a former Infinix ambassador and former Proflight ambassador from the Copperbelt Province signed under Alpha Entertainments Music. A younger brother of Macky 2. Career Chef 187 first showed interest in music when he was 5 but he only considered it as a career in 2003 after seeing his elder brother Macky 2 become successful in the music industry over the years. In 2005 he recorded his first song. In 2011 he collaborated with Macky 2 his older brother, performing a diss track entitled "I Am Zambian Hip-Hop", targeted at rapper Slap Dee of XYZ entertainment records. ''Big Brother Africa 9'' (also known as ''Big Brother Africa: Hotshots'') was the ninth and final season of the ''Big Brother Africa'' reality television series produced by Endemol for M-Net. Production of Season 9 had to be put on hold as the Big Brother house in Highlands North, Johannesburg burnt down. No one was injured in the blaze, which currently has an unknown cause. Chingola
Chingola is a city in Zambia's Copperbelt Province, the country's copper-mining region, with a population of 216,626 (2010 census). It is the home of Nchanga Copper Mine, a deep-shaft high-grade content copper mining operation, which subsequently (in the 1960s) led to the development of two open pit operations, Chingola Open Pit and then Nchanga Open Pit (the latter being the second largest open cast mine in the world). ''Big Brother Africa'' is the African version of the international reality television franchise ''Big Brother'' created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The show was first aired in 2003 for one season on M-Net and broadcast to audiences in 42 African countries. In 2007, the show was back from four-year hiatus, until it got cancelled after season nine in 2014.
