Mount Buller (Alberta)
Mount Buller was named in 1922 after Lieutenant Colonel H.C. Buller DSO, a casualty of World War I. It is located in the Kananaskis Range in Alberta. __NOTOC__ Geology Buller is composed of sedimentary rock laid down during the Precambrian to Jurassic periods. Formed in shallow seas, this sedimentary rock was pushed east and over the top of younger rock during the Laramide orogeny. Climate Based on the Köppen climate classification, Buller is located in a subarctic climate with cold, snowy winters, and mild summers. Temperatures can drop below with wind chill factors below . Köppen Climate Classification
The Köppen climate classification is one of the most widely used climate classification systems. It was first published by German-Russian climatologist Wladimir Köppen (1846–1940) in 1884, with several later modifications by Köppen, notably in 1918 and 1936. Later, the climatologist Rudolf Geiger (1894–1981) introduced some changes to the classification system, which is thus sometimes called the Köppen–Geiger climate classification system. ''Scrambles'' is the fifth studio album by Bomb the Music Industry!, released digitally and physically on February 15th, 2009. The album was released a year and a half after Get Warmer, making it the longest gap between the release of two chronologically adjacent Bomb the Music Industry! albums. Frontman Jeff Rosenstock aimed to record the album on a limited budget of $50; up to that point, the band had never spent that much money on the recording of an album. In 2019, to celebrate the album's 10th anniversary, a compilation of demos for the album was released by Rosenstock. Spray Lakes Reservoir
Spray Lakes Reservoir is a reservoir in Alberta, Canada. The Spray Lakes were a string of lakes formed along the Spray River, a tributary of the Bow River. With the damming of the river, the lakes were united in the Spray Lakes Reservoir. It lies between the Goat Range and the Three Sisters ridge, at an elevation of . The lake is followed by Highway 742 (Smith-Dorrien Trail) in the northern part. The Lake is impounded by two embankment dams; the 28-metre-high ''Canyon Dam'' is located near the southern end of the reservoir and blocks the main outlet of the river in a north-northwestern direction, while the secondary 13-metre-high ''Three Sisters Dam'' at the northern end of the reservoir provides the outlet for the diverted water way and contains a small 3 MW powerhouse. The Laramide orogeny was a time period of mountain building in western North America, which started in the Late Cretaceous, 70 to 80 million years ago, and ended 35 to 55 million years ago. The exact duration and ages of beginning and end of the orogeny are in dispute. The Laramide orogeny occurred in a series of pulses, with quiescent phases intervening. Mount Bogart
Mount Bogart is a summit located in Kananaskis Country in the Canadian Rockies of Alberta, Canada. Mount Bogart's nearest higher peak is Wind Mountain, to the north. Mount Bogart is situated northwest of Mount Kidd, and both can be seen from Highway 40 near the Kananaskis Village junction. History Mount Bogart was named by Donaldson Bogart Dowling (1858-1925), after his mother, whose maiden name was Bogart. Donaldson Dowling, an engineer with the Geological Survey of Canada, explored the area in 1904. The first ascent of the peak was made in 1930 by Kate Gardiner and Walter Feuz.
