Angu Motzfeldt
Angu Motzfeldt (born 1976) is a Greenlandic singer, composer, and songwriter. He was born in Qaqortoq, Greenland, and later moved to Nuuk. His music appeared on the soundtrack to Inuk Silis Høegh's prize-winning documentary ''Eskimo Weekend'', as well as in ''Nuummioq''. He appeared on the Danish TV series ' as well. In 2004, his debut album ''Angu'' was released in Greenland and Denmark, which sold 5000 copies each, for which he received a gold record award in Greenland. He then moved to Copenhagen to work on his music career. He was nominated for a Danish Music Award in the category New Act of the Year. Benny Motzfeldt
Benny Anette Motzfeldt (née Berg Nilssen; 26 June 190924 November 1995) was a Norwegian visual artist and glass designer and sculptor. Biography Benny Anette Berg Motzfeldt was born at Levanger in Trøndelag, Norway. She was a daughter of physician Andreas Berg Nilssen (1876–1952) and Benny Marie Dahl (1878–1955). She was educated at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry (''Statens Håndverks- og Kunstindustriskole'') (1931-35) and debuted at the Autumn Exhibition (''Høstutstillingen'') in Oslo (1936). She engaged as a designer of glass art by Christiania Glasmagasin (1955) and Hadeland Glassverk (1955-67). Later she was an artistic director at Randsfjord Glassworks (1967-70) and then at Glasshytta at PLUS in Fredrikstad, which she led in the period 1970–79. Birger Fredrik Motzfeldt
Birger Fredrik Motzfeldt OBE, CVO (22 February 18983 September 1987) was a Norwegian aviator and military officer. During World War II he administered the development of the Royal Norwegian Air Force in exile in Great Britain. During the Cold War he contributed to the development of a modernized air force in Norway. Personal life Motzfeldt was born in Nesna, as a son of bailiff Birger Fredrik Motzfeldt and Augusta Marie Andersen. He was married twice, in his second marriage with glass sculptor Benny Anette Berg-Nilsen. Career Motzfeldt graduated as a military officer in 1920, and then served with His Majesty The King's Guard and at the Akershus Fortress. Carl Frederik Motzfeldt
Carl Frederik Motzfeldt (3 April 1808 – 24 June 1902) was a Norwegian politician. The son of General Major Carl M. Motzfeldt, he enrolled as a student in 1827 and graduated as cand.jur. in 1838. He was editor-in-chief of '' Den Constitutionelle'' from 1841 to 1842. He mostly worked in the Ministry of Auditing until 1854, when he was appointed Diocesan Governor of Tromsø stiftamt, which also included the jobs of County Governor of both Finmarkens Amt and Tromsø Amt (two of the subordinate counties under Tromsø). In 1857 he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1848, representing the urban constituency of ''Tromsø, Hammerfest og Vadsø'', as the Governor was seated in Tromsø. Frederik Motzfeldt (2 November 1779 – 2 January 1848) was a Norwegian politician. He was a member of the Norwegian Constituent Assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814. He is considered one of the leading figures in the establishment of Greenland Home Rule. Jonathan Motzfeldt was the first prime minister of Greenland. Peter Motzfeldt (3 August 1777 – 1 April 1854) was a Norwegian Military Officer and Government Minister. He served as a member of the Constitutional Assembly at Eidsvoll in 1814. Background Motzfeldt was born at Orkdal in Sør-Trøndelag, Norway. He was the son of infantry captain Ulrik Anton Motzfeldt (1738–83) and Andrea Birgitte Bull.
