Motorola Atrix 2
The Motorola ATRIX 2 is a high end Android-based smartphone by Motorola. Originally announced on October 11, 2011, it is the successor to the Atrix 4G. This phone was succeeded by the Motorola Atrix HD. Features The Motorola Atrix 2 has a one-gigahertz dual core Texas Instruments OMAP processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It has a 4.3" display with a resolution of 960 by 540. Unlike its predecessor, the Atrix 2 does not use the PenTile matrix. The phone runs Android 2.3. The Motorola Atrix 4G (also known as MB860, ME860 in Asia market, MB861 in Korean market) is an Android-based smartphone by Motorola, introduced in CES 2011 on January 5, 2011. It was made available in the first quarter of 2011. It was introduced along with three other products, Motorola Xoom, Motorola Droid Bionic, and Motorola Cliq 2. It uses an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor. It is the first phone to use a quarter-HD PenTile display with 24-bit graphics. The Motorola Atrix 4G is carried by the following wireless providers: AT&T Wireless US, Orange UK, Bell Canada CAN, Telstra AU. AT&T released Atrix on March 6. PenTile matrix is a family of patented subpixel matrix schemes used in electronic device displays. PenTile is a trademark of Samsung. PenTile matrices are used in AMOLED and LCD displays. These subpixel layouts are specifically designed to operate with proprietary algorithms for subpixel rendering embedded in the display driver, allowing plug and play compatibility with conventional RGB (Red-Green-Blue) stripe panels.
