Montalvo Beach
The Montalvo beach is a Galician beach located in the municipality of Sanxenxo in the province of Pontevedra, Spain. It is 1000 metres long and 80 metres width at low tide and 20 at high tide and has beautiful views over the Ria de Pontevedra. Description It is a straight beach, located in a semi-rural environment. It is bordered on the left by Punta Montalvo, a natural promontory and scenic viewpoint, and on the right by Punta Paxariñas, which is less pronounced and separates Montalvo beach from Paxariñas beach. The fine white sand forms very gently sloping dunes with sparse vegetation that separate the beach from the nearby pine forest. It is a wide, windy beach with moderate waves, which has an area for mooring boats. Access From Sanxenxo, on the PO-308 road to O Grove, in Montalvo, take a left turn towards the beach. Sanxenxo
Sanxenxo (; in Spanish ''Sangenjo'') is a municipality in Galicia, Spain in the province of Pontevedra. It is situated in the southern part of the O Salnés region 15 kilometres west of the city of Pontevedra and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, and the estuaries of Pontevedra and Arouca. The municipality has a population of 17,347 inhabitants (INE 2019). A popular tourism destination, Sanxenxo is a favorite resort for Spanish public figures such as Mariano Rajoy (Prime Minister of Spain) and Amancio Ortega (Co-Founder of the Inditex group). La Lanzada Beach
The La Lanzada beach (''praia da Lanzada in Galician'') is one of the most famous beaches in Galicia (Spain). It is located in the municipalities of O Grove and Sanxenxo in the province of Pontevedra. The blue flag has been flying there for a long time. Rías Baixas
The Rías Baixas ( Galician for "Lower Rias") are a series of four estuarine inlets located on the southwestern coast of Galicia, Spain. They are the Ría de Muros e Noia, the Ría de Arousa, the Ría de Pontevedra, and the Ría de Vigo.Mendez & Vilas (2004), p. 196. Ons Island
The Ons Island ( gl, Illa de Ons; es, Isla de Ons) is the main island of a small archipelago in the Ria de Pontevedra in Galicia, Spain. Ons belongs administratively to the municipality of Bueu, which has a regular ferry boat connection to the island, as have the mainland towns of Portonovo, Sanxenxo, Marín and Aldán.
