La Lanzada Beach
The La Lanzada beach (''praia da Lanzada in Galician'') is one of the most famous beaches in Galicia (Spain). It is located in the municipalities of O Grove and Sanxenxo in the province of Pontevedra. The blue flag has been flying there for a long time. Description It is located on the southwestern side of the isthmus that connects the O Grove peninsula to the mainland. It is located near the entrance to the ria of Pontevedra and the northern end of the isthmus borders the mouth of the ria of Arosa. Its northern end is close to the tourist village of San Vicente del Mar (O Grove). The Lanzada is a very large beach: it is 2.5 kilometres long and more than three kilometres if the adjacent beaches of Areas Gordas and Lapa are included. It is the fourth longest beach in Galicia. Sanxenxo
Sanxenxo (; in Spanish ''Sangenjo'') is a municipality in Galicia, Spain in the province of Pontevedra. It is situated in the southern part of the O Salnés region 15 kilometres west of the city of Pontevedra and is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, and the estuaries of Pontevedra and Arouca. The municipality has a population of 17,347 inhabitants (INE 2019). A popular tourism destination, Sanxenxo is a favorite resort for Spanish public figures such as Mariano Rajoy (Prime Minister of Spain) and Amancio Ortega (Co-Founder of the Inditex group). Montalvo Beach
The Montalvo beach is a Galician beach located in the municipality of Sanxenxo in the province of Pontevedra, Spain. It is 1000 metres long and 80 metres width at low tide and 20 at high tide and has beautiful views over the Ria de Pontevedra. Description It is a straight beach, located in a semi-rural environment. It is bordered on the left by Punta Montalvo, a natural promontory and scenic viewpoint, and on the right by Punta Paxariñas, which is less pronounced and separates Montalvo beach from Paxariñas beach. The fine white sand forms very gently sloping dunes with sparse vegetation that separate the beach from the nearby pine forest. Rías Baixas
The Rías Baixas ( Galician for "Lower Rias") are a series of four estuarine inlets located on the southwestern coast of Galicia, Spain. They are the Ría de Muros e Noia, the Ría de Arousa, the Ría de Pontevedra, and the Ría de Vigo.Mendez & Vilas (2004), p. 196.
