Moldova In The Eurovision Song Contest
Moldova has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 17 times, debuting in . The country's best result is a third-place finish for SunStroke Project in 2017, with their song " Hey, Mamma!". Moldova's debut in the contest in 2005 was successful, with Zdob și Zdub finishing sixth. The country also reached the top ten with Natalia Barbu (), DoReDoS (), and Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers (). DoReDos
DoReDoS is a Moldovan trio from Rîbnița, Transnistria. The group consists of Marina Djundyet, Eugeniu Andrianov and Sergiu Mîța. They represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song " My Lucky Day". They had previously attempted to represent Moldova at Eurovision in 2015 and 2016. They won New Wave 2017 for Moldova. History The “DoReDos” trio was founded in 2011, in Rîbnița town (Transnistria). Geta Burlacu
Geta Burlacu (, born Georgeta Povorozniuc on 22 July 1974) is a Moldovan singer. She represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with the song "A Century of Love” written by Vica Demici and Oleg Baraliuc. Career Burlacu began singing at age of seven. She studied violin at the music school in Bălți and graduated from the College of Music in Balti as a violinist. In 1993 she went to the Academy of Music in Chisinau to study jazz and folk music. After graduation in 1997, Burlacu stepped on the professional scene. She has performed in Germany, France, Ireland, Romania, Ukraine, Belarus, and China. She has won numerous awards at national and international festivals in jazz, pop, and folk. From 1998 until 2011, Burlacu worked as a singer in the vocal jazz band Univox. "Sugar" is a song by Moldovan singer Natalia Gordienko. The song represented Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Promotion On 1 March 2021, Natalia Gordienko unveiled a short teaser of the song. On 9 April 2021, Natalia released Russian version of the song called "Tuz bubi" ("Туз буби"; ).
