Switzerland took part at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 in Millstreet, Ireland. Their entry was Canadian singer Annie Cotton with the song "Moi, tout simplement". Before Eurovision National final The final was held on 6 February 1993 at the DRS TV studios in Zürich, hosted by Sandra Simó. The winner was chosen by the votes of 3 regional juries plus a jury of "experts" and journalists. At Eurovision Cotton performed 4th on the night of the contest, following Germany and preceding Denmark. At the close of the voting the song had received 148 points, placing 3rd of 25, behind winner Ireland and runner-up United Kingdom. The Swiss conductor at the contest was Marc Sorrentino. Annie Cotton
Annie Cotton (born July 13, 1975, in Laval, Quebec) is a Canadian actress and singer. Cotton played a role in a TV series called ''Watatatow''. On January 25, 2007, she appeared in the French Canadian long-time daily soap ''Virginie'' as well-known artist Annie Cloutier. In 1993, Cotton became the second Canadian to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest, after Céline Dion in 1988, performing the song "Moi, tout simplement Switzerland took part at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 in Millstreet, Ireland. Millstreet
Millstreet () is a town in north County Cork, Ireland, with a population of 1,555 (as of 2016). Millstreet is within the civil parish of Drishane, and within a Poor Law Union also called Millstreet. The Millstreet Union encompasses the civil parishes of Drishane and Kilcorney. Geography The town is at the foot of Clara Mountain.
