Mohammed Sohrab Hossain
Md Sohorab Hossain is a retired Bangladeshi Civil Servant and currently serving as the Chairperson of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission. He is a former Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Education. Early life Hossain was born in 1961 in Chatkhil Upazila, Noakhali District, East Pakistan, Pakistan. He completed his bachelor's degree and masters in Bengali language and literature from the University of Dhaka. Career Hossain joined the admin cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service in 1984 and after training started working as an Assistant Commissioner in 1986. He took Military Orientation Training Course at Bangladesh Military Academy in Bhatiary. Hossain was appointed the Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division on 6 December 2016. Bangladesh Public Service Commission
Bangladesh Public Service Commission ( bn, বাংলাদেশ সরকারী কর্ম কমিশন) is a quasi judicial constitutional body established in 1972. The commission is responsible for the recruitment of civil service servants in the Bangladesh government. It was formed by Section 137 of Part IX, Chapter II of the Constitution of Bangladesh. History The commission started as a public service commission in 1926 during British India. It was later known as the East Pakistan Public service commission after the partition of India. After the Independence of Bangladesh it was established as the Bangladesh Public Service Commission in 1972. For a while it used the Chummery House as its headquarters. Chatkhil Upazila
Chatkhil ( bn, চাটখিল) is an upazila of Noakhali District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh. It is bounded by Laksham and Shahrasti Upazila on the north, Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila on the south, Begumganj Upazila on the east, and Ramgonj Upazila on the west. Chatkhil thana was formed in 1977 and was upgraded into an upazila in 1983. Geography Chatkhil is located at . It has 46,044 household units and a total area 133.89 km2. Noakhali ( bn, নোয়াখালী, , New canal), historically known as Bhulua ( bn, ভুলুয়া), is a district in southeastern Bangladesh, located in the Chittagong Division. The University of Dhaka (also known as Dhaka University, or DU) is a public research university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is the oldest university in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) is the officers training institute for the officer cadets of Bangladesh Army. It is located in Bhatiary, near Chittagong Hill Tracts, in the Chittagong District of south-east Bangladesh, about 13 kilometres north of Chittagong. The academy is situated on the slopes of the Sitakunda hill ranges and the shore of the Bay of Bengal. Mohammad Sadique
Muhammed Sadique (born 1955) is a Bangladeshi writer and public official. He served as 13th chairman of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC). He was awarded Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2017 for his contributions to Bengali poetry. Biography Sadique was born in September 1955 at Dharargaon village of Sunamganj District. His father's name is Alhajj Mohammad Mubasshir Ali and mother's name is Mastura Begum. Sadique received his bachelor's degree in Bengali language and literature in 1976 and master's in 1977.
