Mohammed Jewel Rana
Mohammed Jewel Rana ( bn, মোহাম্মদ জুয়েল রানা; born 2 May 1968) is a retired Bangladeshi professional footballer who played as a centre back. Career Jewel captained the Bangladesh national football team during their 1999 SAF Games triumph. Jewel, began his career in the first division in 1988, he went on to win domestic league titles for Mohammedan SC, Muktijoddha Sangsad KC and Brothers Union. Jewel also played for Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC for 2 years. On 24 January 2009, he retired from professional football after captaining Mohammedan SC during the Dhaka Derby. Jewel had oroginaly made his debut for the national team in 1989, only a year after his top-tier debut. On 18 March 1997, Jewel scored his first goal for Bangladesh against Taiwan during the 1998 World Cup qualifiers. The Dhaka Derby is a football rivalry between the Dhaka teams of Abahani and Mohammedan, although the rivalry was bigger in the past, it is still considered to be the biggest game in the country's domestic football scene. Mohammedan was founded in 1936, and Abahani was founded in 1972.Bangladesh football's popularity grew based on this two Dhaka clubs – Mohammedan and Abahani. Bangladesh Federation Cup
Federation Cup, also known as Bangladesh Federation Cup, is Bangladesh's premier cup competition in men's association football. The competition started in 1980 and is run by the Bangladesh Football Federation which is responsible for all types of competitive matches in the country. The teams from the country's premier league and other clubs compete in the tournament while occasionally Indian sides were invited in the past. Most of the matches are played in the country's main football venue Bangabandhu National Stadium. The winner of the tournament earn the slot of playing qualifying round of AFC Cup. Dhaka League
Dhaka Senior Division Football League, also referred as First Division Football League, is the third tier of football league in Bangladesh. Until 2006, it was the top-tier league of the country. It was established in 1948 as Dhaka League, while Bangladesh was still under Pakistani control. Upon the creation of the new national top-tier professional league B. League in 2007, Dhaka League was merged with Dhaka First Division League, renamed as Dhaka Senior Division Football League and introduced as second tier league. Dasarath Rangasala Stadium
Dasharath Rangasala ( ne, दशरथ रंगशाला; ) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu. It is named after Dasharath Chand, one of the four great martyrs of Nepal. The stadium is used mostly for football matches and cultural programmes. It has floodlights installed, to facilitate matches and events in the evenings. The Shah Alam Stadium (Malay: ''Stadium Shah Alam'') is a multi-purpose stadium located in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It is used mostly for football matches but also has facilities for athletics.
