Mohammad Naveed
Mohammad Naveed (born 3 June 1987) is a cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for the United Arab Emirates against Afghanistan on 2 May 2014. He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut against Scotland in the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament on 9 July 2015. In January 2019, he captained the UAE for the first time in an ODI, in their home series against Nepal. In March 2021, Naveed was found guilty of corruption and banned from all cricket for eight years. Career In January 2018, he was named in the United Arab Emirates' squad for the 2018 ICC World Cricket League Division Two tournament. On 4 March 2018, in the United Arab Emirates' match against Papua New Guinea in the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, he took his first five-wicket haul in an ODI. 2018 Global T20 Canada
The 2018 Global T20 Canada (also known as Canada Dry Global T20 Canada for sponsorship reasons) of the Global T20 Canada, was a 20-over cricket cricket tournament played in Canada. It was the first edition of the tournament and ran from 28 June to 15 July 2018. Six teams took part, with all the matches played at the Maple Leaf Cricket Club in King City, Ontario. A player draft took place on 3 June 2018. Approximately 1,600 players registered for the draft, with 600 of those from Canada. Ahead of the draft, the following ten international cricketers were named as marquee players: Shahid Afridi, Dwayne Bravo, Chris Gayle, Chris Lynn, Lasith Malinga, David Miller, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Darren Sammy and Steve Smith. Ahmed Raza (Emirati Cricketer)
Ahmed Raza ( ur, ; born 10 October 1988) is a cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. Raza is a right-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. Personal life Raza was born and raised in Sharjah, the youngest of four siblings. He is the son of Pakistani parents Shamim and Syed Zahid Kazmi. His father ran a plumbing business in Sharjah, having immigrated to the UAE in 1972 to work as an electrical engineer. Raza was employed by United Bank Limited. He married business analyst Mehreen Tahir in 2021. Junior career Raza started playing street cricket at a young age and joined Shahzad Altaf's cricket academy at the age of 13. 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier
The 2019 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier was a cricket tournament held during October and November 2019 in the United Arab Emirates to determine which teams would qualify for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament. The six teams finishing highest in the qualifier tournament joined Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the first group stage of the 2020 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The tournament formed part of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier series, with the Netherlands winning the final. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. 2019 Global T20 Canada
The 2019 Global T20 Canada was the second edition of the Global T20 Canada, a 20-over professional cricket tournament, played at the CAA Centre, Brampton, Ontario. It started on 25 July 2019, and concluded with the final on 11 August 2019. It was slightly later in the calendar than the previous tournament, to avoid clashing with the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Vancouver Knights are the defending champions. A new team named New York Legends were announced to replace Cricket West Indies B Team. United Arab Emirates Cricket Board is the governing body of certain cricket activities in United Arab Emirates. It is United Arab Emirates's representative at the International Cricket Council and is an Associate Member and has been a Member of that body since 1990. Rohan Mustafa
Rohan Mustafa ( ur, ; born: 7 October; 1988) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He is the former captain of the United Arab Emirates national team. He is a left-handed batsman and right-arm off-spin bowler. Early life Mustafa was born in Kohat, in Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province. His family moved to the UAE when he was 10, where his father had a car sales business in Sharjah. 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup
The 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup was the third edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup held in Karachi, Pakistan and Colombo, Sri Lanka. Eight teams participated in the tournament including five under-23 age level teams of Test nations and top three teams from 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier. This tournament was organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Initially, Pakistan was sole host for the tournament but India and BCCI refused to send Indian players to Pakistan. Following the increasing political tensions between India and Pakistan, ACC announced that Sri Lanka would be the co-host whilst India's matches and knockout stage will be played there.
