Miss World America 1994
Miss World America 1994 was the 6th edition of the Miss World America pageant and it was held in Veracruz, Mexico and was won by Kristie Harmon of Georgia. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Maribeth Brown of Massachusetts. Harmon went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 1994 Pageant in South Africa later that year. She did not place at Miss World. Miss World 1994, the 44th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 19 November 1994 and marked the third consecutive staging of Miss World in Sun City, South Africa. 87 contestants from around the world competed for the title. The United States has continuously sent a representative to Miss World since its inception in 1951. The United States has won the Miss World crown three times in 1973, 1990 and 2010. Currently, Miss World America is the official national pageant that selects the contestant from the United States to Miss World. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Sharon Belden of Florida. Brown went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 1993 Pageant in South Africa later that year.
