The now-called Miss Universe Thailand 2012, formerly titled Miss Thailand Universe up until last year, the 13th Miss Universe Thailand pageant was held at Siam Paragon#Paragon Cineplex, Siam Pavalai Royal Grand Theatre, Siam Paragon in Bangkok, Thailand on June 2, 2012. The contestants will camp in Phitsanulok Province, Phitsanulok. before flying back to Bangkok for the final stage. Chanyasorn Sakornchan, Miss Thailand Universe 2011, will crown her successor at the end of this event. In the final round, broadcast live on Channel 5. Chanyasorn Sakornchan ( th, ชัญษร สาครจันทร์), nicknamed Fah ( th, ฟ้า) (born June 18, 1990) is a Thai beauty queen who held the Miss Thailand Universe 2011 title, and she was a contestant in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Pageantry On March 26, 2011, Sakornchan was crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2011 by Ximena Navarrete, the reigning 2010 Miss Universe from Mexico. Miss Earth 2012, the 12th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 24, 2012 at the Versailles Palace in Las Piñas, Philippines. Olga Álava of Ecuador crowned her successor Tereza Fajksová of the Czech Republic at the end of the event. The pageant was broadcast live internationally on Star World and was shown 25 November 2012 at 10:00 a.m. on ABS-CBN, with coverage on Studio 23, TFC-The Filipino Channel, and also on channels of participating counties worldwide. Miss Universe 2012 was the 61st Miss Universe pageant, held at the PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States on December 19, 2012. At the end of the event, Leila Lopes of Angola crowned Olivia Culpo of the United States as Miss Universe 2012. It is the United States' first victory in 15 years, and the eighth victory of the country— the most in the pageant's history.
