Adelaine Chin of Sarawak was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Melissa Tan of Malacca at the end of the event. She then represented Malaysia at the Miss Universe 2007 pageant in Mexico City, Mexico. Selangor
Selangor (; ), also known by its Arabic language, Arabic honorific Darul Ehsan, or "Abode of Sincerity", is one of the 13 Malaysian states. All-Asian Satellite Television and Radio Operator, doing business as Astro, is a Malaysian satellite television and IPTV provider. It operates in Malaysia and Brunei and operates from the All Asia Broadcast Centre (AABC) in Kuala Lumpur and MEASAT in Cyberjaya. Miss Universe Malaysia
Miss Universe Malaysia is an annual national beauty pageant that selects Malaysia's representative to the annual Miss Universe contest. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age or any other reason), a runner-up is sent. History The competition was first held in 1964 when the pageant's title was known as "Miss Malaysia" until 1969 and "Miss Malaysia Universe" from 1970 until 2009 also "Miss Malaya" in 1962 and 1963. No national competition were held in 1968, 2011 and 2021. The pageant was founded in 1962 by Mr. Jaycee Liu Chang Lan who then became the first national director of the pageant. The first franchisee, who signed the contract with Miss Universe Organization was the Petaling Jaya Rotary Club. The pageant is registered under Beyond Entity Sdn. Miss Universe 2007 was the 56th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, Mexico on May 28, 2007. At the end of the event, Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico crowned Riyo Mori from Japan as Miss Universe 2007.
