Misfit Wearables
Misfit, Inc. was an American consumer electronics company founded on 14 October 2011 by Sonny Vu, Sridhar Iyengar and John Sculley, owned by Fossil Group. It specialized in wearable technology that utilizes sensors and home automation products. Misfit's wearable activity trackers and count sleep, calories, and basic steps that can be synced to a mobile app on a compatible smartphone. Vu and Iyengar previously co-founded AgaMatrix, a company that made the iBGStar, the first FDA approved Smartphone medical device. In November 2015, Misfit was acquired for $260 million by Fossil Group. History Misfit was founded on 14 October 2011. Its name honors Steve Jobs, who died nine days before the company was founded. Beddit Oy (formerly Finsor Oy) is a Finnish technology company that sells sleep tracking devices and a sleep tracking application to help monitor sleep. The company was founded in October 2006 and released their first sleep tracker in November 2013. In May 2017, Beddit was acquired by Apple Inc. Yo was a social mobile application for iOS, Android, and formerly also Windows Phone. Initially, the application's only function was to send the user's friends the word " yo" as a text and audio notification, but it has since been updated to enable users to attach links and location to their "Yo"s.
