Ministry of Economy ( Malay:''Kementerian Ekonomi'') is a ministry under the Malaysian government. The ministry is having formed on 21 May 2018, as part of economic reformation by Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. The Ministry was reinstated and renamed to Ministry of Economy in the Anwar Ibrahim cabinet. The current Minister of Economy has been Rafizi Ramli since 3 December 2022. Putrajaya (), officially the Federal Territory of Putrajaya ( ms, Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya), is a planned capital city which functions as the administrative capital and the judicial capital of Malaysia. The seat of the federal government of Malaysia was moved in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya because of overcrowding and congestion in the former, whilst the seat of the judiciary of Malaysia was later moved to Putrajaya in 2003. Mohd Rafizi bin Ramli ( Jawi: ; born 14 September 1977) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Minister of Economy in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim since December 2022 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pandan from May 2013 to May 2018 and again since November 2022. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of presently the PH and formerly the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions. Reformasi is a political movement in Malaysia.
