The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China () is a constitute department of the State Council of the People's Republic of China in charge of culture and tourism. The ministry was established on 19 March 2018 based on the Ministry of Culture and the China National Tourism Administration. History On March 17, 2018, the first session of the 13th National People's Congress adopted a decision that stipulated that the functions of the Ministry of Culture and the China National Tourism Administration be consolidated into a single ministry. The China National Symphony Orchestra (; abbreviated CNSO) is China's national orchestra. It was founded as the Central Philharmonic Orchestra of China (CPOC) in 1956 under the baton of the conductor Li Delun. In 1996, it was restructured and renamed the China National Symphony Orchestra. Prince Gong's Mansion, also known as the Prince Kung Mansion, is a museum and tourist attraction located in Xicheng District, Beijing, just north of the Shichahai Lake.
