Buraan
Buraan, also known as Hiil Buraan or Hiil Borraan, is a town in the eastern Sanaag region of Somaliland/ Somalia. It is effectively controlled by Puntland, but it is a disputed area with Somaliland. Overview Buraan is situated in eastern Sanaag, near the Bari region. Along with Las Khorey and Hadaftimo, it is considered to be one of the oldest settlements in the province. Hingalol
Hingalol or Hingalool ( so, Xingalool) is a district located in the Sanaag region of Somalia. Overview Hingalol is situated on the Hadeed Plateau of the Sanaag region. Hingalol was established in 1958. A small hamlet, it increased in size and population in the wake of the Somali Civil War and became a full district. In November 2017, Puntland built a military base on the outskirt of the city. In October 2020, Puntland Minister of Education and Minister of Agriculture visited Hingalol to assess needs and support schools and other institutions in the district. Adeso (previously Horn Relief) is Nairobi-based humanitarian non-governmental organization. The organisation was founded by Fatima Jibrell in 1991, who handed leadership over to her daughter Degal Ali in 2006.
