Minangkabau Express
Minangkabau Express ( id, KA Minangkabau Ekspres) is an airport rail link service in West Sumatra, Indonesia. This line was built to cut travel time from Padang city centre to the Minangkabau International Airport in Padang Pariaman Regency, as roads connecting the airport and the city center are frequently affected by traffic congestion. The Minangkabau Express is the third airport rail link in Indonesia after Kualanamu ARS and Soekarno–Hatta ARS. It was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on 21 May 2018. Background The link was established using existing and new rail tracks. An existing line between Duku railway station and Padang was upgraded. This was then connected to a new track between Duku and the airport. All land acquisitions were done in March 2017. Cirebon
Cirebon (, formerly rendered Cheribon or Chirebon in English) is a port city on the northern coast of the Indonesian island of Java. Padang () is the capital and largest city of the Indonesian province of West Sumatra. With a Census population of 1,015,000 as of 2022, it is the 16th most populous city in Indonesia and the most populous city on the west coast of Sumatra. Adisumarmo Airport Rail Link ( id, Kereta api Bandara Internasional Adisumarmo) is an airport rail link service in Central Java, Indonesia. The service was built to cut travel time from Surakarta city center to Adisumarmo International Airport. It is operated by Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) because its subsidiary KAI Bandara doesn't have stakes owned by Angkasa Pura I. The Adisumarmo ARS is the fourth airport rail link in Indonesia connecting passengers between the city centre and airport after Kualanamu ARS, Soekarno–Hatta ARS and Minangkabau ARS. Duku Railway Station
Duku Station (DUK) is a railway station located in Kasang, Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra. The station, which is located at an altitude of +7m, is included in the Regional Division II West Sumatra. To the northeast from line 1 of this station there is a new branch to Minangkabau International Airport which has been operating since 2018. The station building has now been replaced with a new building with a typical Minangkabau '' Rumah Gadang'' architecture. The old station building which is an heritage has now been torn down. This line is served by train from the airport to Station, which is 23 km from the airport. Starting 22 March 2019 the Lembah Anai rail bus also stopped at this station in connection with the extension of this railway link to the airport and this station automatically became the station with the busiest rail traffic in West Sumatra. Soekarno–Hatta Airport Railink ( id, Rute KA Bandara Soekarno–Hatta) is an airport rail link service in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. Minangkabau International Airport ( id, Bandar Udara Internasional Minangkabau), is the principal airport serving the province of West Sumatra on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is located at Ketaping, Padang Pariaman Regency which is about 23 km north-west of Padang city center. The airport became operational in July 2005, replacing the old Tabing Airport in Padang. The airport is named after the Minangkabau ethnic group who inhabit the region.
