Mike Fournier
Michael "Mike" Fournier (born November 24, 1971) is a Canadian curler originally from Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec. He currently skips his own team out of Toronto, Ontario. Career Fournier played in his first Quebec Tankard in 2014 at the 2014 Quebec Men's Provincial Curling Championship. His team reached the semifinal where they lost to eventual champions Jean-Michel Ménard. They made it one game further the following year at the 2015 Quebec Men's Provincial Curling Championship, losing in the final to the Ménard rink. Fournier won his first provincial championship at the 2018 WFG Tankard. His team qualified for the playoffs as the fourth seed and won three straight games to claim the provincial title. At the 2018 Tim Hortons Brier, Fournier led his team to a 3–5 record, finishing in tenth place. Lachine, Quebec
Lachine () is a borough (''arrondissement'') within the city of Montreal on the Island of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It was an autonomous city until the municipal mergers in 2002. History Lachine, apparently from the French term ''la Chine'' (China), is often said to have been named in 1667, in mockery of its then owner René-Robert Cavelier de La Salle, who explored the interior of North America trying to find a passage to China. The 2015 Quebec Men's Provincial Curling Championship, also known as the Quebec Tankard, was held from January 12 to 18 at the Complexe Sportif Sani Marc in Victoriaville, Quebec. The winning team represented Quebec at the 2015 Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary, Alberta. The event was held in conjunction with the 2015 Quebec Scotties Tournament of Hearts. 2020 Quebec Tankard
The 2020 Quebec Tankard the Quebec men's provincial curling championship was held from January 19 to 26 at the Arèna de Salaberry in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec. The winning Alek Bédard rink represented Quebec at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier in Kingston, Ontario and finished with a 1–6 record. The event was held in conjunction with the 2020 Quebec Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Quebec's provincial women's curling championship. It is the third time in the last 11 years that Salaberry-de-Valleyfield played host to the provincial championships. Korey Dropkin
Korey Dropkin (born June 11, 1995) is an American curler originally from Southborough, Massachusetts. Curling career Juniors As a junior curler, Dropkin won three United States Junior Curling Championships, playing third for brother Stephen in 2012 and skipping in 2013 and 2016 while curling at Broomstones Curling Club in Wayland, MA. As such, he played for the United States at the World Junior Curling Championships, finishing 5th at the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships and 7th at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships. Dropkin was a member of the U.S. team at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics, skipping a team that included Sarah Anderson, Thomas Howell and Taylor Anderson. Jamie Murphy (curler)
Jamie Murphy (born 13 April 1981 in Saint John, New Brunswick) is a Canadian curler from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. He is a former skip, and played at his first Brier in 2012. Career Jamie Murphy, originally from Quispamsis, is a former junior curler, representing New Brunswick at the Canadian Junior Championships in 2001 and 2002. Murphy's team had a notable 2010 season, losing in the semifinal of the Nova Scotia Men's Provincial Championship that year. In 2012 the team captured their provincial championship, defeating former Brier champion Mark Dacey. This earned Murphy's team their first trip to the Brier. 2019 Tour Challenge
The 2019 KIOTI TRACTOR Tour Challenge was held from November 5 to 10, at the Pictou County Wellness Centre in Westville Road, Nova Scotia. It was the second Grand Slam event of the 2019–20 season. In the men's tier 1 final, Brad Jacobs of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario defeated Brad Gushue of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador to win his 5th Grand Slam. In the tier 2 final, Korey Dropkin defeated Tanner Horgan to earn a spot at the 2020 Canadian Open in January. In the women's tier 1 final, Anna Hasselborg of Sundbyberg, Sweden defeated Kerri Einarson of Gimli, Manitoba to win her 3rd Grand Slam. Grand Slam Of Curling
The Grand Slam of Curling (branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that are a part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women (with the 2006 Players' Championship also considered a Slam), but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels. Jean-François Trépanier
Jean-François "J-F" Trépanier (born February 20, 1987) is a Canadian curler from Saint-Étienne-de-Beauharnois, Quebec. He currently plays lead on Team Félix Asselin. Career Trépanier began playing with the Mike Fournier rink with Félix Asselin at third and William Dion at second for the 2017–18 season. He previously played for Denis Robichaud, Simon Hebert and Guy Hemmings. In their first season together, Team Fournier won the 2018 WFG Tankard. William Dion
William Dion (born December 18, 1987) is a Canadian curler and football player. He is a two-sport athlete and has found success both on the ice, having been the winning skip at the 2008 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, and on the field, being signed by the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League. Curling career He won his first Quebec junior curling championship in 2007, playing third for Ghyslain Richard. The rink finished the round robin at the 2007 Canadian Junior Curling Championships with a 9-3 record, but the lost in the semi-final to Prince Edward Island. The following year, he won the Quebec junior title as a skip. At the 2008 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, his Quebec team went 10-2 in the round robin, and beat Ontario's Travis Fanset in the final. Félix Asselin
Félix Asselin (born November 17, 1994) is a Canadian curler from Montreal. He currently skips his own team out of Montreal, Quebec. Career Asselin skipped Quebec at four Canadian Junior Curling Championships during his junior career in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. In 2012, he led his team to a 7–5 seventh-place finish and in 2013 he finished in eighth with a 3–7 record. His best result came in 2015, where he qualified for the championship pool with a 6–0 record. He then went 1–3 in the championship pool, qualifying for the tiebreaker. He defeated Alberta in the tiebreaker before losing to Saskatchewan in the second, ultimately being eliminated. His final appearance in 2016 was a 6–4 fifth-place finish.
