Mike Faulk
Michael Anthony Faulk (September 10, 1953 – November 11, 2014) was an American jurist and politician. Faulk was born in Kingsport, Tennessee. In November 2008, he was elected to the Tennessee State Senate, defeating incumbent Micheal R. Williams by the narrow margin of 29,417 to 29,171. He was a Republican, representing Claiborne, Grainger, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, and Union counties. Before his election to the Senate, he worked as a personal injury attorney in Church Hill, Tennessee. In March 2012, he announced he would not be seeking re-election for a second term. Tennessee's 4th Senate District
Tennessee's 4th Senate district is one of 33 districts in the Tennessee Senate. It has been represented by Republican Jon Lundberg since 2016, succeeding fellow Republican Ron Ramsey. Geography District 4 is based in Kingsport and Bristol, the northern two cities in the Tri-Cities area, also including the nearby communities of Bloomingdale, Colonial Heights, Blountville, and Mountain City. Esophageal Cancer
Esophageal cancer is cancer arising from the esophagus—the food pipe that runs between the throat and the stomach. Symptoms often include difficulty in swallowing and weight loss. Other symptoms may include pain when swallowing, a hoarse voice, enlarged lymph nodes ("glands") around the collarbone, a dry cough, and possibly coughing up or vomiting blood. The two main sub-types of the disease are esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma (often abbreviated to ESCC), which is more common in the developing world, and esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC), which is more common in the developed world. Church Hill is a city in Hawkins County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 6,998 at the 2020 census and 6,737 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kingsport– Bristol (TN)– Bristol (VA) Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City–Kingsport–Bristol, TN- VA Combined Statistical Area – commonly known as the " Tri-Cities" region.
