Church Hill is a city in Hawkins County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 6,998 at the 2020 census and 6,737 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kingsport– Bristol (TN)– Bristol (VA) Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City–Kingsport–Bristol, TN- VA Combined Statistical Area – commonly known as the " Tri-Cities" region. It is the largest municipality located entirely within Hawkins County. History The community was established as a trading post and stagecoach stop called Spencer's Mill and Patterson Mill in the late 18th century. The name "Church Hill" came later, following the establishment of a Methodist church "on the hill" overlooking the Holston River valley. The church still stands today on Grandview Street. State Route 346 (SR 346) is a state highway in Hawkins and Sullivan counties in the eastern part of the U.S. state of Tennessee. It connects Surgoinsville with Kingsport. Route description SR 346 begins in Hawkins County at an intersection with US 11W/ SR 1 in Surgoinsville and heads northeast through downtown and has a second intersection with US 11W/SR 1 and turns east onto US 11W/SR 1. Rogersville, Tennessee
Rogersville is a town in, and the county seat of, Hawkins County, Tennessee, United States. It was settled in 1775 by the grandparents of Davy Crockett. It is named for its founder, Joseph Rogers. Tennessee's second oldest courthouse, the Hawkins County Courthouse, first newspaper ''The Knoxville Gazette'', and first post office are all located in Rogersville. Bays Mountain
Bays Mountain is a ridge of the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachians, located in eastern Tennessee. It runs southwest to northeast, from just south of Knoxville to Kingsport. Its southern segment is relatively low in elevation (up to about ). In some places it essentially merges with the surrounding plains, especially where it is bisected by the French Broad River and the Nolichucky River. The northern segment of Bays Mountain reaches higher elevations, averaging above with peaks reaching up to .
