Michelle McQuaid
Michelle Dianne McQuaid (born July 30, 1991) is a Canadian curler from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She currently plays lead on Team Suzanne Birt. She is a three-time PEI junior champion and five-time PEI Scotties champion. Career McQuaid competed at the 2007 Canada Winter Games as third for the Sarah Fullerton rink. They finished with a 1–5 record. She represented PEI at three Canadian Junior Curling Championships also as third for Fullerton from 2010 to 2012. In 2010, they finished seventh with a 6–6 record. In 2011, they improved from their previous season finishing in eighth with a 7–5 record. At her final trip to the juniors in 2012, they finished eighth, once again with a 6–6 record. While still in juniors, Team Fullerton entered the 2012 Prince Edward Island Scotties Tournament of Hearts. They finished round robin play with a 4–1 record and clinch second place. Charlottetown
Charlottetown is the capital and largest city of the Canadian province of Prince Edward Island, and the county seat of Queens County. 2012 Canadian Junior Curling Championships
The 2012 M&M Meat Shops Canadian Junior Curling Championships were held from February 4 to 12 at the Strathcona Paper Centre and the Napanee & District Curling Club in Napanee, Ontario. The winners, the Albertan teams skipped by Brendan Bottcher and Jocelyn Peterman, represented Canada at the 2012 World Junior Curling Championships in Östersund, Sweden. In the women's final, Alberta's Peterman led her team to a win over Manitoba's Shannon Birchard in nine ends, winning with a score of 12–6 after a decisive shot in the fourth end and a critical steal in the fifth end gave Alberta a large lead. The men's final saw Alberta's Brendan Bottcher sealing off the game against Northern Ontario's Brennan Wark in the last end with two points, making the final score 9–6 and completing an Alberta sweep of the Canadian Juniors. Moose Jaw
Moose Jaw is the fourth largest city in Saskatchewan, Canada. Lying on the Moose Jaw River in the south-central part of the province, it is situated on the Trans-Canada Highway, west of Regina. 2015 Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts was held from February 14 to 22 at Mosaic Place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The winners represented Canada at the 2015 World Women's Curling Championship held from March 14 to 22 at the Tsukisamu Gymnasium in Sapporo, Japan. Changes to competition format For the first time, the event was to be expanded to include entries from Nunavut, which has never participated in the Scotties, and Northern Ontario, which will now have a berth separate from (Southern) Ontario, as well as separate entries from the Yukon and Northwest Territories, which have historically competed as a single entry. The Nunavut Curling Association decided they were not ready to send teams to either the Scotties or the Brier, so will be sitting out this year's events. The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. Susan McInnis
Susan McInnis (born June 18, 1963, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) is a Canadian curler. She is currently the alternate for the Shelly Bradley rink. Curling career McInnis has competed in nine Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Her first Scotties was in 1989, throwing third stones for the Kathie Gallant rink. There, the team finished with a 4–7 record. McInnis then played in the 1992 Scott Tournament of Hearts playing third for Kim Dolan, also finishing with a 4–7 record. McInnis returned to the Hearts in 1995 as part of the Rebecca Jean MacPhee (MacDonald) team. Originally supposed to be the alternate for the team, she ended up playing in nine games as the team's lead. The team made the playoffs after finishing fourth in the round robin with an 8–3 record. They lost in their first playoff match against Alberta's Cathy Borst's team. McInnis played lead in the game and curled 80%. Shelly Bradley (born Shelly Danks on November 17, 1970 in Dalhousie, New Brunswick) is a Canadian curler from Stratford, Prince Edward Island.
