Curl Atlantic Championship
The Curl Atlantic Championship is an annual bonspiel, or curling Curling is a sport in which players slide stones on a sheet of ice toward a target area which is segmented into four concentric circles. The purpose of the event is to better prepare High Performance Atlantic Curling Teams for the national and international stage. It will give Atlantic Teams exposure to arena ice, and allow the two winning teams to play in international events. The championship will consist of twelve men's teams and twelve women's teams. Three teams will represent each province. In a situation where two or less teams represent a province, the vacant space will be filled by teams from remaining provinces. A bonspiel is a curling tournament, consisting of several games, often held on a weekend. Until the 20th century most bonspiels were held outdoors, on a frozen freshwater loch. Today almost all bonspiels are held indoors on specially prepared artificial ice. Sarah Fullerton
Sarah Fullerton (born March 8, 1991) is a Canadian curler from Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. Career Junior career Sarah Fullerton has been a rising star on the curling scene in Prince Edward Island. In 2003, she captured the P.E.I 11 and under title. She would also win the 15 and under title in 2006, and between 2006 and 2009 she would capture the 17 and under title three times. In 2010, Fullerton represented Prince Edward Island at the 2010 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where her team would finish with a 6–6 record. She would return in 2011 and finish with a 7–5 record. Heather Martin (born November 10, 1963, in Halifax, Nova Scotia) is a Canadians, Canadian curling, curler from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Career 1991–2000 Martin's first Scotties appearance was in 1991 Scott Tournament of Hearts, 1991, where she was an alternate for Cathy Cunningham. The team would finish 2-9 in round robin play. She would return to the Scott for four consecutive years, from 1994 to 1997 playing lead for Laura Phillips. From 1994 to 1996 the team would not make the playoffs, however, at the 1997 Scott Tournament of Hearts, they would finish round robin play with a 7–4 record advancing as far as the semi-final, where they would lose to Ontario's Alison Goring. 2000–2004 She would return to the Scott in 2002, 2003 and 2004, this time playing for lead for Cathy Cunningham. Lauren Wasylkiw
Lauren Wasylkiw (; born June 26, 1990) is a Canadian curler originally from Kleinburg, Ontario. She was the second for Team Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Career Women's Wasylkiw played second for the Brock Badgers, skipped by Courtney Hodgson, at the 2011 CIS/CCA Curling Championships. The team finished in second place, losing to the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, skipped by Laura Crocker. The following year, Wasylkiw returned as the second for the Brock Badgers at the 2012 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, this time skipped by Joanne Curtis. They lost in the final to Laura Crocker and the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks for the second year in a row. Wasylkiw won the 2013 Newfoundland and Labrador Scotties Tournament of Hearts as the second for Stacie Devereaux, qualifying for the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Erin Porter
Erin Porter (born February 13, 1990) is a Canadian curler from Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador. She currently plays third on Team Brooke Godsland. She is a five-time Newfoundland and Labrador Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion and two-time Newfoundland and Labrador junior champion. Career Porter made two appearances at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in 2009 and 2011, skipping in both years. In 2009, she led her rink to a 4–8 finish and in 2011, finished 5–7. She also skipped the Memorial University curling team in two U Sports/Curling Canada University Curling Championships, finishing 4–3 in 2011 and 2–5 in 2012. Stacie Curtis (born Devereaux; May 27, 1986) is a curler originally from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. She is a four-time provincial junior champion, three time provincial women's champion and 2007 Canadian Junior champion and World Junior silver medalist. Curling career Curtis represented Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2003 Canada Games, placing 7th. Curtis won her first provincial junior championship in 2004. Her debut performance as skip of team Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2004 Canadian Junior Curling Championships was somewhat successful, the rink finished with an 8–4 record, just missing the playoffs. She is best known as the skip of two women's world championship teams and six Tournament of Hearts Canadian women's championships, including an unprecedented four titles in a row and held the record for most Tournament of Hearts wins from when she won her 67th game 1994 until her eventual 152 wins were eclipsed by Jennifer Jones in 2021. Leslie MacDougall (born Leslie Allan, April 29, 1970 in Lachine, Quebec) is a Canadian curler from Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. Curling career 1993–2001 MacDougall made her first appearance on the National scene in 1993, as an alternate for Angela Roberts. The team would finish round robin play with a 5–6 record. She would return to the Scott again in 1996, this time playing lead for Susan McInnis. Along with Kathy O'Rourke at third and Tricia MacGregor at second, the team would finish round robin 6–5.
