Michelle Marinova
Michelle Marinova is a Bulgarian former women's snooker player who played on the circuit from 2002 until 2008, then later competed in 2013. She reached the quarter-finals of the World Women's Snooker Championship in 2005 and the final of the 2008 World Ladies Snooker Championship plate tournament. She was the top Bulgarian women's snooker player at the time. Snooker career After turning professional in 2002, Michelle first entered the 2003 World Women's Snooker Championship but withdrew before playing her first match. In 2004 she was eliminated in Group B of the Connie Gough National, finishing third behind Lynette Horsburgh, then ranked number 1 in the world, and Caroline Walch, before losing to Marianne Williams in the plate tournament. 2008 World Ladies Snooker Championship
The 2008 World Ladies Snooker Championship was the 2008 edition of the World Women's Snooker Championship, first held in 1976, and was played at Cambridge Snooker Centre from 3 to 7 May. The tournament was won by Reanne Evans, who achieved her fourth consecutive world title by defeating June Banks 5–2 in the final. Evans also made the highest of the tournament, 102. There were four round-robin qualifying groups, three of six players each, and one of seven players, with the top two players in each group progressing into the knockout stage. In the final, Banks won the first frame on the . Evans compiled a break of 52 in the next frame to win it, then took five of the next six frames. Hannah Jones, aged 11, won the under-21 title in an event run alongside the main tournament. Reanne Evans (born 25 October 1985) is an English professional snooker player who competes on the World Women's Snooker Tour and the professional World Snooker Tour. She is the number one ranked player on the women's tour, and regularly features as a pundit on televised snooker coverage.
