Michelle Ann Williams
Michelle Ann Williams is a Jamaican-American epidemiologist, public health scientist, and educator who has served as the dean of the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health since 2016. Early life Williams was born on January 1, 1962, and is the eldest of four children. When she was seven years old, her family immigrated to Queens, New York, where she attended New York City public schools. While neither of her parents attended school past the elementary level, Williams encountered a “handful of remarkable and pivotal teachers” who encouraged her to apply to top colleges and universities. Williams became the first person in her family to attend college when she received her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Princeton University in 1984. Catharine Drew Gilpin Faust (born September 18, 1947) is an American historian and was the 28th president of Harvard University, the first woman to serve in that role. She was Harvard's first president since 1672 without an undergraduate or graduate degree from Harvard and the first to have been raised in the South.
