Mi Hazánk
Our Homeland Movement (Hungarian language, Hungarian: ''Mi Hazánk Mozgalom'', '','' Mi Hazánk, MHM, MH) is a Hungarian Far-right politics, far-right political party. It was founded by Ásotthalom mayor and former Jobbik Vice-President, László Toroczkai, along with other Jobbik dissidents who left the organization after the party's leadership moved away from its radical beginnings. The party ran in the 2019 European Parliament elections for the first time, but it did not win a seat. However, in the 2022 Hungarian parliamentary election, 2022 parliamentary election, it became the third largest List of political parties in Hungary, party in the country with a result of nearly 6%, far surpassing public opinion polls. Előd Novák
Előd Novák (born 25 April 1980) is a Hungarian politician who serves as vice president of the far-right political party Our Homeland Movement. He was formerly a deputy chairman of Jobbik, but left the party in June 2018, following Jobbik's move to the center-right. He formed Our Homeland along with László Toroczkai and several other former Jobbik members. He is married to Dóra Dúró, another founder and vice president of Our Homeland Movement. In the 2010 elections he was elected to the National Assembly of Hungary, representing Jobbik. He was a “local assistant” of Csanád Szegedi to the Member of the European Parliament in Brussels. Hungarian Justice And Life Party
The Hungarian Justice and Life Party (, , MIÉP) was a nationalist political party in Hungary that was founded by István Csurka in 1993. History In the 1998 legislative elections, the party won 5.5% of the votes and gained parliamentary representation, with 14 seats. In the 2002 elections, the party won 4.4% of the popular vote and no seats. In 2005, MIÉP joined forces with a newer, radical Hungarian nationalist political party, Jobbik. The new political formation was registered under the name the MIÉP–Jobbik Third Way Alliance of Parties. It purported to speak for Christians whilst standing up for the rights of Hungarian minorities in the neighbouring countries. 2022 Hungarian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Hungary on 3 April 2022 to elect the National Assembly, coinciding with a referendum. Hungary's incumbent prime minister Viktor Orbán won re-election to a fourth term. Addressing his supporters after the partial results showed Fidesz leading by a wide margin, Orbán said: "We won a victory so big that you can see it from the moon, and you can certainly see it from Brussels." Opposition leader Péter Márki-Zay admitted defeat shortly after Orbán's speech. Reuters described it as a "crushing victory". With 54.13% of the popular vote, Fidesz received the highest vote share by any party since the Fall of Communism in 1989. Ásotthalom () is a village in Csongrád County, in the Southern Great Plain region of southern Hungary, near the border with Serbia. Geography It covers an area of and has a population of 3,856 people (2017). Politics The local mayor László Toroczkai was the vice-president of the right-wing nationalist Jobbik party, but after his exclusion he created a new party. During the 2015 European migrant crisis, over 10,000 Syrian and Iraqi migrants have passed through the village, with some aiming to settle there.
