Mikheil Meskhi
Mikheil Meskhi (Georgian: მიხეილ მესხი; Russian: Михаил Шалвович Месхи; born 12 January 1937 in Tbilisi; died 22 April 1991 in Tbilisi) was a Georgian footballer. Nicknamed the "Georgian Garrincha" for his dazzling wing play, he was a creative force on the left flank for the Soviet Union. He was invited by the World XI side via the USSR Football Federation who replied he was injured and couldn't play— he was not told of the invitation. Career He started playing football at the age of 14 in Tbilisi. Local well-known specialist Archil Kiknadze was Meskhi's first coach. His unique football talent was soon obvious in the 35th Football Schoolboys team he played in. During his career he played for Dynamo Tbilisi (1954–1969) and Lokomotiv Tbilisi (1970). Mykhaylo Meskhi ( ua, Михайло Мамукович Месхі; born 26 February 1997 in Donetsk, Ukraine) is a professional Ukrainian football midfielder of Georgian descents, who plays for Kecskemét. Career Meskhi is a product of the youth team system of present-day defunct FC Metalurh from his native city Donetsk. Leila Meskhi ( ka, ლეილა მესხი, tr, ; born 5 January 1968) is a retired Georgian professional tennis player. Meskhi has won five singles and doubles titles on the WTA Tour. She has also won one singles and two doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit. On 5 August 1991, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 12. On 10 April 1995, she peaked at No. 21 in the WTA doubles rankings.
