Meshwo River
Meshwo or Meshwa is a river flowing in north and central parts Gujarat, state of India. Meshwo is the tributary river of the Sabarmati and subtribunary of the Vatrak River. It rises in the Panchara hills of Aravalli range, in the Dungarpur district of Rajasthan and enters in Gujarat at Shamlaji. Basin Meshwo rises in Aravalli range and flows through Modasa, Bhiloda, Prantij of Sabarkantha and Aravalli district; Ahmedabad district and Kheda district. Meshwo meets Vatrak after near to Kheda. Meshwo flows parallel to Khari River for 203 kilometres. 8 villages of Bhiloda Taluka, 17 villages of Modasa Tauka and 12 villages of Ahmedabad and Kheda district are inhabited on Meshwo. Shamlaji
Shamlaji, also spelled Shamalaji, is a major Hindu pilgrimage centre in Aravalli district of Gujarat state of India. The Shamlaji temple is dedicated to Vishnu. Several other Hindu temples are located nearby. The present temple dedicated to Shamlaji, a form of Vishnu was perhaps started in the 11th century in Chaulukya style, but the present structure dates from the 15th-16th centuries. Kheda District
Kheda District is one of the thirty-three districts of Gujarat state in western India. Its central city, Kheda, is the administrative headquarters of the district. History Formerly known as Kaira district, it was divided in two with the southern part becoming Anand district in 1997. The Charotar region of Kaira consisted of four talukas (sub-districts): Nadiad, Anand, Borsad, and Petlad. When the district was divided, Nadiad Taluka went with Kheda district and the other three with Anand district. Today, Kheda has eleven talukas. Idar State
Idar State, also known as Edar, was a princely state located in present-day Gujarat state of India. During the British era, it was a part of the Mahi Kantha Agency, within the Gujarat Division of Bombay Presidency. History Idar State was a princely state that was founded in 1257. Its rulers were Rathore Rajputs. On the question of the succession of the state of Idar, the Sultan of Gujarat, Muzaffar Shah, and Rana Sanga of Mewar supported rival claimants. In 1520, Sanga established Raimal on the Idar throne, with Muzaffar Shah sending an army to install his ally Bharmal. Sanga himself arrived in Idar and the Sultan's army was beaten back. ''Gujarati Vishwakosh'' ( gu, ગુજરાતી વિશ્વકોશ, ) is an encyclopedia in Gujarati, one of the official languages of India, published by Gujarat Vishwakosh Trust, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It can be considered the first full encyclopedia in the Gujarati language. Under the guidance of Dhirubhai Thaker, the work started in 1985 and ended in 2009 consisting of 25 volumes with 23,090 articles.
