Menudo is a Puerto Rican boy band that was formed in Puerto Rico by producer Edgardo Díaz. Referred to as the "Most Iconic Latino Pop Music Band", Menudo has been ranked as one of the Biggest Boy Bands of All Time by several publications, including ''Billboard'', '' Us Weekly'', '' Seventeen'', and ''Teen Vogue'', being the only Latin band on their lists. ''Evolución'' is Menudo's 16th album (14th in Spanish). This album features new member Ricky Martin. Ricky Martin replaced Ricky Meléndez, the last member to exit from the original line-up. Ricky Meléndez was nearing his 17th birthday when it was decided who was going to be his replacement. Ricky Martin wasn't their first choice. Carlos Javier Rivera Masso (born June 13, 1969 in San Juan, Puerto Rico), better known as Charlie Masso, is a Puerto Rican singer and actor. Masso is a former member of Menudo, joining the band at the height of Menudo's worldwide fame. Ramón Enrique Acevedo Kerkadó (born December 21, 1971 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican pop music singer, actor, and visual artist who was a member of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo. He now lives in New York. He was a soloist when in 1985, Acevedo joined Menudo after his second audition when he was 13 years old. (Ricky Martin is three days younger than Raymond Acevedo.) Ray Reyes León (March 13, 1970 – April 30, 2021) was a Puerto Rican singer who was a member of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo.
