Menudo (band)
Menudo is a Puerto Rican boy band that was formed in Puerto Rico by producer Edgardo Díaz. Referred to as the "Most Iconic Latino Pop Music Band", Menudo has been ranked as one of the Biggest Boy Bands of All Time by several publications, including '' Billboard'', ''Us Weekly'', '' Seventeen'', and '' Teen Vogue'', being the only Latin band on their lists. The band had several radio hits during its course. They acted in a television film (1979's ''Leyenda de Amor'') and two feature films, ''Una aventura llamada Menudo'' and '' Menudo: La Película'', in a telenovela named "Quiero Ser" and a television mini-series named ''Panchito y Arturo''. Angelo Garcia (born March 28, 1976) is an American singer and songwriter of Puerto Rican descent, who was a member of Puerto Rican boy band Menudo from 1988 to 1990. Career A native New Yorker born in Brooklyn, New York, he barely spoke Spanish when he auditioned for a spot in the band Menudo after seeing a television commercial in Puerto Rico during a family vacation. Wilson Ramón Torres Zapata "Rawy Torres" is a Puerto Rican singer, composer, and guitarist, who was a member of the boy band, Menudo. Biography Torres joined Menudo in 1989, replacing Ricky Martin. Torres gained teen idol status in Latin America when Menudo released the '' Los Últimos Héroes'' CD. Torres also recorded a Portuguese version for his first album called ''Os Últimos Heróis''. Ramón Enrique Acevedo Kerkadó (born December 21, 1971 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico) is a Puerto Rican pop music singer, actor, and visual artist who was a member of the Puerto Rican boy band Menudo. He now lives in New York. He was a soloist when in 1985, Acevedo joined Menudo after his second audition when he was 13 years old. (Ricky Martin is three days younger than Raymond Acevedo.)
