Melt Sieberhagen is a South African actor and comic and was born in Ventersdorp. Training He obtained a B.A. in Drama from the University of Pretoria in 2001. Television appearances He starred in numerous South African soaps as well as the Afrikaans comic sketch program ''Kompleks II''. He is also part of the permanent cast of '' Proesstraat''. He has also appeared in television commercials for Cell C, TOPS @ Spar, Bioplus, McCarthy Call-a-car and Wimpy. As a voice over artist he has contributed to various television programs, commercial and a host of regular radio advertisements. Ventersdorp
Ventersdorp is a town of 4,200 in Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality, North West Province, South Africa. It was the seat of the defunct Ventersdorp Local Municipality until 2016. Ventersdorp is centrally located, making it easier to access more prominent urban towns such as Klerksdorp, Lichtenburg, Potchefstroom and Rustenburg. The township (or ''Location'') of Tshing houses most of the town's blacks and coloureds. Tshing has a diamond mine nearby that was owned by a town councillor in the early 1990s. Tshing Location has one high school: Thuto Boswa High School. The smaller township Toevlug has Coloured residents, some of whom have attend the former whites-only Afrikaans High School after the end of Apartheid since 1995. Proesstraat (Proes Street) is an Afrikaans Television-Show which airs on kykNet based on the German improvisational comedy show Schillerstrasse. It is recorded without a script, in front of a live audience and broadcast unedited to a large extent. Idea and show structure The setting of the show is the living room of the main actor Waldemar Schultz who lives on the real street "Proesstraat" in Pretoria, South Africa. The main character is regularly visited by friends and relatives. The participants only know the topic of the episode in advance. The whole plot has to be improvised comically. The cast receive directions from the ''Regisseur'' (Director/Presenter) on their ear-pieces, and have to follow the cues, e.g. "Eloise: Tell the others you're pregnant!".
