Meinhard Moser
Meinhard Michael Moser (13 March 192430 September 2002) was an Austrian mycologist. His work principally concerned the taxonomy, chemistry, and toxicity of the gilled mushrooms (Agaricales), especially those of the genus ''Cortinarius'', and the ecology of ectomycorrhizal relationships. His contributions to the Kleine Kryptogamenflora von Mitteleuropa series of mycological guidebooks were well regarded and widely used. In particular, his 1953 ''Blätter- und Bauchpilze (Agaricales und Gastromycetes)'' 'The Gilled and Gasteroid Fungi (Agaricales and Gastromycetes)'' which became known as simply "Moser", saw several editions in both the original German and in translation. Other important works included a 1960 monograph on the genus ''Phlegmacium'' (now considered part of ''Cortinarius'') and a 1975 study of members of ''Cortinarius'', ''Dermocybe'', and ''Stephanopus'' in South America, co-authored with the mycologist Egon Horak. Emil Johann Lambert Heinricher
Emil Johann Lambert Heinricher (14 November 1856 – 13 July 1934) was an Austrian botanist from Laibach (Ljubljana). In 1879 he received his doctorate from the University of Graz, where after graduation, he served as an assistant to botanist Hubert Leitgeb. In 1889 he became an associate professor of botany, which was followed by a full professorship at the University of Innsbruck in 1891. While at Innsbruck, he created a new botanical garden in nearby Hötting. Through support from the Austrian Academy of Sciences, he took part in a study trip to Java (1903/04). While there, he spent time working at the Buitenzorg Botanical Gardens (now the Bogor Botanical Gardens). He is known for his research pertaining to the morphology, developmental history, ecology and physiology of parasitic spermatophytes. He performed detailed studies of toothwort and mistletoe species, including investigations of pear tree immunity in regards to mistletoe.

''Cortinarius'' is a globally distributed genus of mushrooms in the family Cortinariaceae. It is suspected to be the largest genus of agarics, containing over 2,000 widespread species. A common feature among all species in the genus ''Cortinarius'' is that young specimens have a cortina (veil) between the cap and the stem, hence the name, meaning ''curtained''. Most of the fibres of the cortina are ephemeral and will leave no trace once gone, except for limited remnants on the stem or cap edge in some species. All have a rusty brown spore print. The common names cortinar and webcap refer to members of the genus.
