Alex Meechan
Alexander Thomas Meechan (born 29 January 1980) is an English former footballer who played as a striker and midfielder. Career Meechan was born in Plymouth, England and attended St Boniface's Catholic College. He was an Associate Schoolboy at Norwich City in the 1994–95 season. He moved to Swindon Town in 1997. He was signed by Bristol City in 1998. During this spell he spent time on loan with Yeovil Town, who were in the Football Conference at the time. Meechan was signed by Forest Green Rovers in 2001. he played for the club in the 2001 FA Trophy final at Villa Park. He was signed by Dagenham & Redbridge on a two-year deal in 2003. Dagenham had come within a whisker of promotion to The Football League in the previous two seasons but this spell was not to provide the dream ticket for Meechan, as the Daggers languished in mid-table in the 2003–04 season. Mark Meechan () (born 19 October 1987) is a Scottish YouTuber and former UK Independence Party candidate for the European Parliament. He uses the online name Count Dankula. Meechan received press coverage when he posted a video showing him teaching his girlfriend's dog how to raise its paw in the manner of a Nazi salute, and to react to the phrase "Do you wanna gas the Jews?" Meechan was arrested and convicted of being "grossly offensive" under the Communications Act 2003, following a trial in March 2018. The arrest generated controversy and discussions about free speech. In April 2018, Meechan was fined £800. Meechan stated he would not pay the fine, and instead donated £800 to the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity. Steven Meechan (born 30 March 1991) is a Scottish Association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder for Kilbirnie Ladeside F.C., Kilbirnie Ladeside in the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region. He has previously played in the Scottish Premier League for Motherwell F.C., Motherwell. Tom Meechan
Tom Meechan is an English footballer who plays as a striker for Cymru South club Cwmbran Celtic. Personal life Meechan completed a sports and exercise degree at the University of Birmingham and subsequently worked as a maths teacher in Cambridgeshire, and later Cardiff after completing a PGCE, whilst playing non-league football for Godmanchester Rovers and St Neots Town. Frank Meechan
Francis Meechan (27 October 1929 – 20 August 1976) was a Scottish footballer who played as a defender for Petershill, Celtic and Stirling Albion. He played for Celtic in three Scottish Cup Finals in the mid-1950s, beating Aberdeen in 1954 (as part of a double with the Scottish Football League, the club's first championship since the 1930s) followed by defeats at the hands of Clyde in 1955 and Hearts in 1956. James Meechan
James Meechan (born 17 August 1930) is a Scottish-Canadian artist best known for his stained glass work. Biography Born in Glasgow, Scotland, during the Great Depression, Meechan attended Holyrood Secondary School before moving on to the Glasgow School of Art where he specialised in stained glass. He received commissions for windows from a number of churches in Scotland. In 1953, he emigrated to Canada, settling in Toronto. He married Kay Hanlon in 1954. Meechan received more window commissions from churches in Canada. To supplement his earnings from stained glass, and to support a growing family, he qualified as a secondary school teacher in the province of Ontario. For a number of years he worked at Central Technical School, alongside Canadian artist Doris McCarthy. Meechan played a key role in the students' creation of the colossal ketchup bottle in 1967, built to poke fun at Claes Oldenburg's giant hamburger which was then on display at the Art Gallery of Ontario. ...

Peter Aloysius Meechan (born 29 January 1980) is a British composer, conductor, and music publisher. Life Meechan studied musical composition at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and received his Bachelor of Arts. He then studied at the University of Salford in Salford and received his PhD in musical composition. Currently, he is a musical assistant of Foden's Band, a brass band from Sandbach in the English county of Cheshire. He mostly writes works for concert and brass bands, but also for chamber ensembles and winds. His works for brass bands are often chosen as compulsory works for musical festivals and competitions. Conor Meechan (born 1993) is a Scottish film editor. He is best known for editing the film, The Groundsman which earned him the Best Editor accolade at the 2014 British Academy Scotland New Talent Awards. Life and career Conor studied Digital Film and Television at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During his time there, he edited The Groundsman, the graduation film of fellow student Jonny Blair. Peter Meehan (often misspelled "Meechan") (28 February 1872 – 26 June 1915) was a Scottish professional footballer who played as a full-back. He won the English league championship in 1894–95 with Sunderland and the Scottish Football League championship with Celtic in 1895–96. He also played in the 1897 FA Cup Final for Everton and the 1900 FA Cup Final for Southampton, and made one appearance for Scotland in 1896.
