Tom Meechan
Tom Meechan is an English footballer who plays as a striker for Cymru South club Cwmbran Celtic. Personal life Meechan completed a sports and exercise degree at the University of Birmingham and subsequently worked as a maths teacher in Cambridgeshire, and later Cardiff after completing a PGCE, whilst playing non-league football for Godmanchester Rovers and St Neots Town. He also teaches at Wyedean school. Career In 2012, Meechan rose to prominence in non-league football by scoring prolifically in the Kershaw Premier Division of the Cambridgeshire County Football League. He appeared sporadically over three seasons for Swavesey Institute whilst studying in the area before joining Over Sports in 2012, where he scored 20 league goals in 21 league appearances. His goal scoring exploits saw him attract attention from several clubs, including Cambridge City and Royston Town, and he eventually moved up The Football League pyramid to join St Ives Town. Cambridgeshire County Football League
The Cambridgeshire County Football League, currently styled as the Cambridgeshire Fire Places Cambridgeshire County League for sponsorship purposes, is a football competition covering Cambridgeshire and western parts of Suffolk, Norfolk and northwestern parts of Essex in England. It has a total of 16 divisions, headed by the Premier Division. The Premier Division sits at step 7 (or level 11) of the National League System. Below the Premier Division lies the Senior A Division and Senior B Division. Below those two leagues, the structure splits into two parallel ladders of five divisions each. Weston-super-Mare A
Weston-super-Mare, also known simply as Weston, is a seaside town in North Somerset, England. It lies by the Bristol Channel south-west of Bristol between Worlebury Hill and Bleadon Hill. It includes the suburbs of Mead Vale, Milton, Oldmixon, West Wick, Worlebury, Uphill and Worle. Its population at the 2011 census was 76,143. Since 1983, Weston has been twinned with Hildesheim in Germany. The local area has been occupied since the Iron Age. Whitehawk is a suburb in the east of Brighton, England, south of Bevendean and north of Brighton Marina. The area is a large, modern housing estate built in a downland dry valley historically known as Whitehawk Bottom. The estate was originally developed by the local council between 1933 and 1937 and included nearly 1,200 residences. Subsequently, the Swanborough flats were built in 1967, and in the 1970s and 1980s much of the estate was rebuilt by altering the road layouts and increasing the number of houses. The Football League
The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world.
