The Bonifacio Capital District (BCD) is a financial district in Metro Manila, Philippines under the joint management of Megaworld Corporation and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority. It covers the southern area of Fort Bonifacio with the Bonifacio Global City district situated north of the BCD. Makati also claims jurisdiction of the area as part of its Post Proper Southside, Makati, Post Proper Southside barangay. History The Bonifacio Capital District (BCD) was created as a joint venture between the private conglomerate Megaworld Corporation with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) of the Philippine national government both of which will manage the area. A memorandum of agreement was signed on March 14, 2019 regarding their plans for the BCD. Fort Andres Bonifacio (formerly named Fort William McKinley) is the site of the national headquarters of the Philippine Army (Headquarters Philippine Army or HPA) located in Metro Manila, Philippines. McKinley Hill Stadium is a 2,000-seater football stadium at McKinley Hill in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. The Fort Bonifacio boundary dispute is a territorial disagreement between local governments in the Filipino cities of Makati and Taguig, and the municipality of Pateros. The dispute also includes the financial district of Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Taguig has administration over Bonifacio Global City and some territory to its south as part of Fort Bonifacio. Post Proper Southside, also known as Post Proper South or Barangay 31, is one of the barangays of Makati, a city in Metro Manila, Philippines.
