Mavis Biesanz
Mavis Hiltunen Biesanz (July 27, 1919 Vermilion Lake Township, MinnesotaThe Tico Times, March 7, 2008, page W3 – February 21, 2008 Escazú, Costa Rica) was a Finnish-American writer and sociologist. Many of her books were about Central American countries, particularly Costa Rica. She lived in Costa Rica from 1971 until her death in 2008. Life Mavis Biesanz grew up in northern Minnesota. Vermilion (sometimes vermillion) is a color, color family, and pigment most often made, since antiquity until the 19th century, from the powdered mineral cinnabar (a form of mercury sulfide, which is toxic) and its corresponding color. It is very often synonymous with red orange, which often takes a modern form just 11% brighter (at full brightness).
