Matt Plumb
Matt Plumb (Born 8 July 1974) is a racing driver who has previously competed in the Barber Dodge Pro Series and currently races in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Matt Plumb is also team manager of Rum Bum Racing, a sportscar and GT racing team. Career Matt Plumb was born on 8 July 1974 to Michael Plumb and Donnan Sharp. His father was a former Olympic equestrian rider and United States Olympic Hall of Fame inductee. His mother competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics. After his bachelor study in history and economics at the University of Virginia and a short career in finance at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Matt pursued a career in auto racing. Plumb started his racing career in the 1997-98 Skip Barber Formula Dodge Southern Race Series. The driver from Rhode Island won his first race ever at Sebring International Raceway. Equestrian competitions at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City, Mexico featured team and individual competitions in show jumping, eventing, and dressage. Mexico City proved a challenging site since it was 2,300 meters above sea level, resulting in 30% less oxygen in the air. The horses at the 1955 Pan American Games, which was also held in Mexico City, arrived a few weeks before the Games to adjust, but had difficulty in the competition. However, racehorses that competed at the same location and who were shipped in the day before, and left the day after the race, performed fine. It was discovered that although horses would adjust immediately to the high altitude during the first few days after arrival, they showed weakness and decreased performance around Day 10, which continued to Day 20. Molson Indy Vancouver
Molson Indy Vancouver was an annual Champ Car race held in a street circuit near BC Place and running past Science World in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada held in July, August or September from 1990 to 2004. On September 2, 1990, the first race took place on the original circuit, which was won by Al Unser Jr. From 1998, a new circuit was created to the east of the old Pacific Place, where only a small part of the original circuit was used. The circuit was popular with drivers and often produced an entertaining race. For most of its fifteen years, the Vancouver Indy attracted in excess of 100,000 spectators over the course of its weekends, and in 1996 held the Canadian single-day sporting event attendance record until it was beaten by the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal that year. Jon Fogarty (born May 23, 1975 in Palo Alto, California) is an American racing driver, who competes in the United SportsCar Championship for GAINSCO/Bob Stallings Racing. He won the 2007 and 2009 GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype drivers' championship and is a two-time Atlantic Championship champion as well. Early racing career Fogarty competed in the Barber Dodge Pro Series from 1996 until 2000, finishing series runner-up twice. Following a year where he was injured in Indy Lights in 2001, he moved into Toyota Atlantic in 2002 and edged Michael Valiante for the series championship. Todd Snyder (born 6 January 1965) in Anchorage, Alaska, is a former racing driver and driving instructor. Snyder was placed second in the 1998 and 1999 Barber Dodge Pro Series seasons. Career Todd Snyder started his pro racing career at the Jim Russell Racing School. The driver from Alaska finished second in his second pro series season ever in the Formula Russell Pro Mazda. In 1988 Snyder made his debut in the Barber Saab Pro Series. At Sonoma Raceway he finished third behind Rob Wilson and Harald Huysman. Laguna Seca Raceway (branded as WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and previously Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca) is a paved road racing track in central California used for both auto racing and motorcycle racing, built in 1957 near both Salinas and Monterey, California, United States.
