Mats Hallberg
Mats Hallberg (born 12 December 1964) is a retired Swedish professional golfer. Hallberg turned professional in 1984 and played on the Swedish Tour before joining the European Tour in 1988. On the tour he had eight top-10 finishes, including third at the 1996 Scottish Open and the 1997 Volvo Scandinavian Masters, earning a total of €617,028. His biggest success in a major came at the 1995 Open Championship where he shot a first round of 68 (−4), one stroke off the lead. John Daly eventually won at −6 after a playoff, and Hallberg finished tied for 68th along with Tiger Woods. Hallberg was in contention at the 1998 Volvo PGA Championship, the European tour's flagship event, held at Wentworth Club. Nyköping
Nyköping () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Nyköping Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden with 32,759 inhabitants as of 2017. The city is also the capital of Södermanland County. Including Arnö, the locality on the southern shore of the bay just a couple of kilometres from the city centre, Nyköping would have above 36,000 inhabitants. Commonly, Arnö is referred to as a part of the city proper. It forms a wider conurbation with the neighbouring minor municipality and town of Oxelösund south of its outskirts. Official World Golf Ranking
The Official World Golf Ranking is a system for rating the performance level of professional golfers. It was started in 1986. The rankings are based on a player's position in individual tournaments (i.e. not pairs or team events) over a "rolling" two-year period. New rankings are calculated each week. During 2018, nearly 400 tournaments on 20 tours were covered by the ranking system. All players competing in these tournaments are included in the rankings. In 2022, 23 tours factored into the world rankings. As well as being of general interest, the rankings have an additional importance, in that they are used as one of the qualifying criteria for entry into a number of leading tournaments. Olle Karlsson
Olle Karlsson (born 9 April 1969) is a Swedish professional golfer and European Tour player. In 1998, he won the Open Novotel Perrier (with Jarmo Sandelin) and was runner-up at the English Open. Amateur career Karlsson lost the final of the 1987 Spanish International Amateur Championship to Michael Quirke of Ireland. In 1988 he appeared in the PLM Open, a European Tour event held at Flommen Golf Club, where he made the cut and tied for 19th. Professional career Karlsson turned professional in 1989 and joined the Swedish Golf Tour and the Challenge Tour, where he won the 1993 Ramlösa Open. Playing on the Asia Golf Circuit, he tied for 3rd at the Philippine Open in 1992. The tour started as the Satellite Tour with its first Order of Merit rankings in 1989 and was officially renamed as the Challenge Tour at the start of the 1990 season.
