Matias Siltanen
Matias Siltanen (born 29 March 2007) is a Finnish professional football player who plays as a midfielder for Veikkausliiga club KuPS, and captains the Finland U17 national team. Club career Born in Kuopio, Siltanen started to play football in a youth team of the local club KuPS. He made his senior debut in 2022 at the age of 15, with the club's reserve team KuPS II playing in the third tier league Kakkonen. On 12 January 2023, Siltanen signed his first professional contract with the club, on a two-year deal with an option for an additional year. He made his first team debut with KuPS on 11 February 2023, in a Finnish League Cup loss against Ilves. Kakkonen Players
Kakkonen or II divisioona is the third level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 36 Finnish football teams. The II divisioona was introduced in 1973 and in the mid-1990s became known as the Kakkonen (Finnish for 'Number Two'; sv, Tvåan). Sakari Tukiainen finished the season 2014 as the top goal scorer and setting a new league record with 40 goals for the Kakkonen. The UEFA Europa Conference League (abbreviated as UECL) is an annual football club competition organised by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for eligible European football clubs. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. It is the third tier of active European club football competitions, after the Champions League and the Europa League. The 2023 Kakkonen was the 51st season of Kakkonen, the third-highest football league in Finland. The season began on 21 April 2023 and ended on 8 October 2023.
