Matej Bagarić
Matej Bagarić () (born 16 January 1989 in Zagreb, SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Croatian professional footballer who plays for NK Ponikve. Bagarić also represented Croatia at the under–19 level. Club career Bagarić came through youth ranks of Dinamo Zagreb, and on 26 January 2008 he joined the affiliate club Lokomotiva. He helped Lokomotiva win the league title and earn promotion to second tier. During the 2008–09 season, he featured in 24 appearances and bagged three goals for Lokomotiva, who were again promoted to the higher–level league. He remained at Lokomotiva for the 2009–10 season, and featured in the first team until he was sidelined by injuries, which continued into the 2010–11 season. His loan was prolonged until late August 2011, when his contract with Dinamo was mutually terminated and he penned a 5-year deal with NK Lokomotiva. The Croatia national under-19 football team represents Croatia in international football at this age level and is controlled by the Croatian Football Federation, the governing body for football in Croatia. Competition history Prior to 1990 Croatian players played for the Yugoslavia Under-18 team. Although the Croatian team was formed in the early 1990s after the breakup of Yugoslavia, the Under-18 team had to wait for UEFA to officially accept Croatian Football Federation's membership bid in order to be included in UEFA-governed competitions. Croatia's membership was accepted in June 1993 and the first continental competition Croatia under-18 team took part in was the qualification for 1994 European Under-18 Championship. Croatian Football Cup
The Hrvatski nogometni kup ( eng, Croatian football cup), also colloquially known as Rabuzinovo sunce (), is an annually held football tournament for Croatian football clubs and is the second most important competition in Croatian football after the HNL championship. It is governed by the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) and usually runs from late August to late May. Cup winners automatically qualify for next season's UEFA Europa Conference League, except when cup winners are also Prva HNL champions, in which case their berth in the Europa Conference League goes to the best placed team in the Prva HNL who haven't qualified for the UEFA competitions through their league performance. The league was formed in 1991 with the breakup of Yugoslavia and the dissolution of the Yugoslav Second League. The 1. The league was established in 1991 following the dissolution of the Yugoslav League. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation.
