Treća HNL
The Druga nogometna liga ( eng, Second football league), commonly Druga NL or 2. NL) is the third tier of the football league system. The league was established in 1991 following the dissolution of the Yugoslav League. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation. It was previously known as the Third Football League, but was renamed with the other leagues for the start of the 2022–23 season. Rules , at least three players under 21 years of age must play in each match, and only two foreign nationals are permitted to play for each team. Format Since its inception in 1992 the league changed formats several times. In its inaugural season the league had four divisions (North, Center, South and West). In the 1992–93 season, a fifth division was added (East). Croatian Football Federation
The Croatian Football Federation ( hr, Hrvatski nogometni savez, HNS) is the governing body of association football in Croatia. It was originally formed in 1912 and is based in the capital city of Zagreb. The organisation is a member of both FIFA and UEFA, and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the game of football in Croatia. The current president of HNS is Marijan Kustić. The HNS sanctions all competitive football matches in Croatia, beginning with the HNL on down to 3. NL, as well as the Croatian Cup, while low-tiered leagues are sanctioned by inter-county and county associations. It is also responsible for appointing the management of the men's, women's and youth national football teams. NK Istra 1961
Nogometni klub Istra 1961 ( en, Istra 1961 Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Istra 1961, or simply Istra 1961 or Istra, is a Croatian professional football club from Pula, currently playing in the Croatian First League. It is a common opinion amongst many people that ''Istra 1961'' was founded in 1961 by merging two clubs from Pula, NK Uljanik and NK Pula, forming NK Istra. However, NK Istra is not the same club as NK Istra 1961. NK Istra 1961, then named NK Uljanik, was founded in 1964. NK Istra were competing in Prva HNL since the first season, but were relegated in the 1996–97 season to Druga HNL. They were promoted back to Prva HNL in the 1998–99 season, but they were relegated again in the next season, never coming back to Prva HNL. NK Višnjevac
NK Višnjevac is a Croatian football club based in the village of Višnjevac, near Osijek. The team won the Treća HNL East Division in 2003–04, but did not apply for promotion to the second division. As of 2023, they participate in the MŽNL Osijek-Vinkovci, the 5th level of Croatian football. History NK Višnjevac were founded in 1948. The club, then playing in the third division, were sanctioned in 2009 after they wore a kit with a political party's logo on it. They won the county cup in 2012 leading to an appearance in the 2012-13 Croatian cup where they lost to Istra 1961 in the 1/16th round. Marijan Vuka signed for the club in 2013 at the close of his career. In 2016, three Korean players joined Višnjevac, and were the target of purchase of a Korean businessman. HNK Segesta is a Croatian football club located in the city of Sisak. It is named after the Illyrian settlement Segesta from which modern city of Sisak developed.
