Martin Němec (musician)
Martin Němec (born 16 June 1957 in Prague) is a Czech rock musician and composer. Between 1977 and 1983 he studied at Academy of Fine Arts, Prague The Academy of Fine Arts, Prague ( cs, Akademie výtvarných umění v Praze; AVU) is an art college in Prague, Czech Republic. Founded in 1799, it is the oldest art college in the country. The school offers twelve master's degree programs and on .... In 1982, he founded the band called Precedens together with singer-songwriter Jan Sahara Hedl. He is keyboardist and a leader of this group. Since 2002, he is member of Lili Marlene, which released two studio albums. He is also film score composer, screenwriter and painter. He is a son of Czech painter Josef Němec. The Academy of Fine Arts, Prague ( cs, Akademie výtvarných umění v Praze; AVU) is an art college in Prague, Czech Republic. Founded in 1799, it is the oldest art college in the country. The school offers twelve master's degree programs and one doctoral program. History Starting in the early 18th century a series of organizations were formed in Prague with an interest in promoting art and education. Thanks in part to their efforts, the Academy of Fine Arts was founded by Imperial Decree on September 10, 1799. It began with instruction in drawing. The academy was gradually expanded to include programs in architecture, painting, printmaking, and sculpture, among others. In 1990 drastic reforms were undertaken by rector Milan Knížák to reorganize the concept and internal structure of the school. Jan Sahara Hedl
Jan Hedl (born 9 January 1957, in Prague), known as Jan Sahara Hedl or simply Sahara, is a Czech singer-songwriter. Among his well-known hits are "Dívka a noc" and "Tisíc jmen". In his childhood he played piano. At the high school, he met Martin Němec and later he founded his first band Duševní hrob with him. In 1982, he founded the band called Precedens together with Němec, who plays keyboards. Hedl left the band in 1984 and in 1994, he released his first solo album ''Tajnej svatej''. In 1995, he released his second album ''Šílené pondělí'', where Precedens served as backing band. His most recent album called ''Matka Zebra'' was released in 2001. He is also lyricist for other artists, such as Luboš Pospíšil Luboš Pospíšil (born 6 September 1950) is a Czech singer-songwriter and guitarist, and the frontman of the pop-rock band 5P.
