Marta Pihan
Marta Pihan-Kulesza (Polish pronunciation: ; born 23 July 1987) is a Polish artistic gymnast. She represented her country at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She is an 11-time Polish all-around champion (2004-2005, 2007–2010, 2012–2014, 2018, 2020) and a multiple-time World Cup medalist. Personal life Marta Pihan was born on 23 July 1987 in Szczecin, Zachodniopomorskie, Poland. She has been married to Roman Kulesza since 2009. In 2017, she gave birth to her daughter Jagna. Career Pihan-Kulesza became the Polish all-around champion nine times – in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. She also represented her country at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London where she had a chance to be in the top 12 all-around after first three rotations, but eventually finished 19th due to a fall on the balance beam. 2020 European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 33rd European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held from 17 to 20 December 2020 in Mersin, Turkey. The competition was originally scheduled to be held from 30 April to 3 May 2020 in Paris, France, but it was rescheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Baku, Azerbaijan was announced as the replacement host for 17 to 20 December, before the event was relocated to Mersin. Originally an Olympic qualifying event, the competition was undesignated as such in light of the ongoing pandemic, so as to avoid pressuring member federations to attend if they were not willing to do so. Only 15 nations opted to send athletes, as the majority of countries withdrew out of concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. European Gymnastics barred the Polish Gymnastics Federation from sending any athletes due to outstanding financial obligations resulting from their hosting the 2019 edition of the event. The 2018 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships was the 48th edition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. The competition was held from October 25 – November 3, 2018, at the Aspire Academy Dome in Doha, Qatar. It was the first time that the competition was held in the Middle East.
