City Of Gosford
The City of Gosford is a former local government area located on the Central Coast region, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The incorporation of Gosford dates back to 1886 when the Town of Gosford was proclaimed as the ''Borough of Gosford'', becoming the ''Municipality of Gosford'' from 1906. In 1908, the Gosford Municipality merged into Erina Shire which covered the remaining Central Coast area outside of Gosford, but regained its independence in 1936. From 1 January 1947, local government in the Central Coast region was reorganised, creating ''Gosford Shire'' and Wyong Shire, and the final boundaries of Gosford City Council date from this period. From 1 January 1980, Gosford Shire was granted city status, becoming the City of Gosford. On 12 May 2016 the Minister for Local Government amalgamated the City of Gosford and Wyong Shire Councils. Bar Point, New South Wales
Bar Point is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located on the north bank of the Hawkesbury River north of Sydney. It is part of the local government area. Geography Bar Point is bounded by the Hawkesbury River to the west and south, Marlows Gully to the north, and the M1 Pacific Motorway and Pacific Highway to the east, beyond which is the Brisbane Water National Park. The locality is home to the southern section of the Popran National Park, accessible via four-wheel drive from Mount White to the north. Hawkesbury River
The Hawkesbury River, or Hawkesbury-Nepean River, is a river located northwest of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The Hawkesbury River and its associated main tributary, the Nepean River, almost encircle the metropolitan region of Sydney. The Hawkesbury River has its origin at the confluence of the Nepean River and the Grose River, to the north of Penrith and travels for approximately in a north–easterly and then a south–easterly direction to its mouth at Broken Bay, about from the Tasman Sea. The Hawkesbury River is the main tributary of Broken Bay.
