Mark Stephney
Mark Andrew Stephney (born 12 March 1965) is a former West Indian cricketer. Stephney was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He is Montserratian, but was born in Guyana. In 2006, Montserrat were invited to take part in the 2006 Stanford 20/20, whose matches held official Twenty20 status. Stephney made his Twenty20 debut for Montserrat in their first-round match against Guyana, with their first-class opponents winning the match by 8 wickets. Stephney joint top-scored in Montserrat's innings alongside McPherson Meade, ending it unbeaten on 21. In January 2008, Montserrat were again invited to part in the 2008 Stanford 20/20, where Stephney made two further Twenty20 appearances, in a preliminary round match against the Turks and Caicos Islands and in a first round match against Nevis. Akito Elquemedo Willett (born 22 June 1988) is a Nevisian cricketer who has played for the Leeward Islands in West Indian domestic cricket. He is a leg spin bowler who bats right-handed. McPherson Meade (born 16 February 1979) is a West Indian cricketer. Meade is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He also plays football for the Montserrat football team as a goalkeeper. He was born on Montserrat. Stanford 20/20
The Stanford 20/20 was a short-lived cricket tournament in the Caribbean island of Antigua. It was held first in July and August 2006 in the West Indies at the Stanford Cricket Ground, St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda, and then again in the same place in 2008. It was a variety of the popular Twenty20 format, which had been first introduced in English cricket in 2003. The tournament was separate to the Stanford Super Series, which was held in late 2008. The tournament was privately devised and funded by wealthy American businessman Allen Stanford, who held Antiguan dual nationality. Seam Bowling
Seam bowling is a bowling technique in cricket whereby the ball is deliberately bowled on to its seam, to cause a random deviation when the ball bounces. Practitioners are known as ''seam bowlers'' or seamers. Seam bowling is generally classed as a subtype of fast bowling, although the bowling speeds at which seam can be a factor include medium-pace bowling.
